Aussie cricket

What about the raised finger of Ponting and pliant umpires? Not available any more? Aussies will get what they deserve and even more. Sledge on the field and see what you get in return.

Change of skipper
by Perv in on Jan 02, 2009 01:36 PM

They've lost a test or two which they need'nt have actually. Bad, unimaginative captaincy cost the Aussies more. The team is not as bad as it looked in the last 5-6 Tests. Change of captain is the first step.

-nt have been great,oz has always been the most magnificant & a great sporting nation, only 21 million people & yet such a v big sporting superpower, aussie cricket team has been the best sporting team of the decade by a mile, proof is laureus, laureus started in 99 and since then, the aussie cricket team have had 4 nominations in the team ctegory there whereas no other team has had even 3 and then in addition binga and warnie have had individual nominations and they are the only cricketers to have so
go oz, u r the v best, still no 1 in icc test rankings by a mile, no 1 in icc odi rankings and defendng champions of world cup and champions trophy next time they are there
i get a great buzzz when aussies play, i love to see cricket in oz on tv, in india it is such hugely poor, poor stadiums, poor picture quality and poor everything else
channel9 has taught the world how to cover cricket, even in ind,all good comes from aussie mudroch.

Aussie decline
by rakesh sadhu on Jan 02, 2009 12:09 AM

It is not easy to replace greats overnite. Greats like Warne, McGrath, Gilchrist & to a lesser extent Langer & Martyn come only once in a while & their absence is bound to be felt. The skewed selection policies can also be blamed for the Aussie decline. There is no point continuing with Hayden when he is so out of form. Especially with such a batsman as Phil Jacques easily available. Similarly, Brett Lee, Symonds & Peter Siddle should not have been playing. Instead, Ben Hilfenhaus, Shane Watson, Shaun Marsh should have been played. Mark my words & look out for these guys. Finally, hand over the captaincy to Michael Clarke & presto...........
...................... Australian cricket will be overhauled overnite.

Australia - Going down ?
by pankaj burde on Jan 01, 2009 07:14 PM

Its now the fact that whenever aussies makes a record and then comes to play with India, they used to get the kick by the Indians and they loose their world record and becomes a history. This time too Indians halted them by thrashing 2-0 and now South Africa is just digging their wounds by winning the series 2-0 (1 test to go. Its time for neck to neck competition between India, SA & Australia. Well SA & India is the clear winner from the current scenario and Aussies the clear looser in all departments. This might be the time when Australia is loosing its Honeymoon period and going on a downward path, where they really need to scratch their heads and again go back to basics, thought process on their gaming strategies. well they need to concentrate more on game and not on mouth sladging. This is the time when world is judging this team Australia and talking against it. So Australia work on games, strtegies and not on sledging or decision making umpiring etc. Try to save the 3rd game against SA and regain the No.1 spot or you are the looser in all versions of the game.
