The parliament cricket match is mixed cricket. Lara once got bowled by Zoe Goss in an exhibition match. Many an exhibition match is mixed stuff. Your suggestion is worth a try.

this is very reticules because there is particular that only men cricket is in upper hand but it is not that without a man a women cannot get a opportunity since it is high and over.

It is a good idea. The male players will not watch the ball they will something else, similar in shape. Many retired players will die to come back. Male fielder seliberately clash with female fielders while catching. The cricket will be more interesting than the late night movies.

Hey man.... I laughed like anything for your reply.... Good sense of humour there in your reply.... OMG..........
Women Cricket can improve well only if some of the Women-Matches are played in parallel with Men Matches. Like, when there is a World Cup ODI or T20 for Men, the same has to run for Women also! (Like it happens in Tennis Granslam, Olympics, etc) I mean, if today we have a women finals, tomorrow should be men finals. In this way, we can convert interest from Men Cricket towards Women Cricket in a larger volume, by bringing "nationalism" into it! For e.g., say if a nation's men team has failed, the crowd can still support the same nation's women team to win, and hence can get satisfied!
This is the major way I can see Women Cricket taking a lift apart from other useful suggestions made by others like smaller grounds, softer balls/bats, relaxed rules, etc.
Otherwise, Women Cricket will be backward forever.

Probably the female team also should tour with the male team to play parallel series, instead of separate schedules

when they run matak-matak style in shorts, i am sure they will have more crowds! There is nothing bad about this. When women are dancing like that in men's game and is acceptable there, then why not here? Else no one will go to watch turtles run! This is fact!

pure sexism...don't worry, someday women will get proper media attention against the men...just like they squashed them to get voting rights...

what a comparison! voting and cricket! i am only saying we enjoy watching women play!I am all for it. we gave you voting rights...you dint have to squash us for that! women seem to be sufferring some kinda inferiority complex...no wonder they always jump to say how great they are and so on ...depressed...when you drool over Bollywood stars, we can say sexism...cricket is entertainment too and a little latak-jhatak is ok you see! but honestly i found your reply rather cute!

Women can't attract people with their play also. There level is less than even first class cricket level of Zimbabwe.

its because of this attitude that the women cannot improve...if u never giv sum1 a chance, how the hell r they supposed to do anything...getting tv coverage for the women's world cup could have been the best thing that has happened for them...
Unlike women like Pub goers or some big mouthed Minsister for woman Anjum Chopra is far sensible in making such a statement. All the best of luck for her career. Ofcourse women's cricket is quite boring
Re: Sensible statement.

Women's cricket can become exciting in the T20 format - less overs, smaller ground, day night match, etc.
women cricket is boring. i have seen quite often. no entertainment. tennis is different. watch tennis becasue the ladies are in skimpy outfits.. cricket too should be played in similar dresses...
Re: bore...
by Ajit Birdi on Feb 26, 2009 03:16 PM
Is thatt all you think of all the time. Perverts like you will find any game a bore if it is not played in mini dresses.
Just like tennis which they play for 3 sets they should have little adjustments to the ladies version considering the physical limitation .... smaller grounds , lesser than 22 yard pitch etc., Please consider this ICC. This is not to degrade woman but a positive approach towards woman cricket.
