England West Indiers 3rd Test Draw

This is clearly a pointer to the ICC to react. But that august body is possibly the slowest to get off its asses and do some thing. Certain changes are really necessary in the laws of the game. First off just as the law says that the captain of the team who has a lead of more than 200 runs will have the option to enforce the follow on. But once that captain desists from enforcing this the game as a competition is royally murdered and there could only be two results probable one a draw and the other a win for the team with the lead. Therefore the amended law should be The captain opf the team so leading by more than 200 runs on the First Innings will have the option to enforce the follow on. But that option should become a compulsion if the lead is over two hundred and fifty on the first innings. Similarly the bowling team captains option of availing a New ball after twenty overs must be restricted. He can have the option of a New ball after a passage of fifty overs but that option should become a compulsion on completion of 90 overs. This will entail discouraging a team with superior spin bowlers from killing the game with a ball gone soft and spongy with absolutely no encouragement to the batsmen to play their power strokes.

Strauss was unlucky. All it needed was one good ball and the match would have been his.
Flintoff injury is a worry. He is the goto man and him getting injured is not helping matters at all.

True. Winning and losing is part of the game. The world will not fall apart if the team didn't win. But the way Strauss defended his teammates is exceptional and commendable. He seems to be a good team man.
