SA Whitewashes Aus
by amit mishra on Feb 17, 2009 03:21 PM  | Hide replies

SA is going to create record by whitewashing them. No Brett lee, DOubtful Micheal clarke.
SA are a good test team,
My prediction is 3-0 to SA. If Aus play well then 2-0 for SA.
Down DOwn Aussies

SA could probably whitewash a old house in Aussie land, nothing more could happen for now....

By The By, were you refused your Aussie Visa and is that the case of your piled up agony????

Good that you stopped at 3-0 and didn't proclaim 4-0, 6-0, 29-0 results....

Anything could've happened in your prediction game....

We are thankful to you for restraining your naturally flamboyant predictive algorithms.... :)

Aussies really need Brad Hodge
by manju nath on Feb 17, 2009 03:13 PM  | Hide replies

Australian Selectors made big mistake because they left out Brad Hodge,His average in Test cricket above 50's..But still his not selected for Test squad..Please check michael Clarke, simon katich and other opener averages will be in mid 40's..But they are in the squad, because of politics...Please bring Hodge to the atleast test squad

Aussies team combination......
by Anurag Rathore on Feb 17, 2009 03:03 PM  | Hide replies

It's hard to digest that Aus is struggling in their own home against a weaker NZ team(without Fleming, S.Bond, J.Oram, S.Styris, L.Vincent etc.). Yes they are missing their legend players but selectors are also responsible for this situation.
Why S.Katich and B.Hodge are out from ODI side?
Why S.Tait is not playing regularly in absence of B.Lee.
A.Symonds should be in the ODI and T-20 team.
I hope P.Jaques, S.Watson and B.Lee will be back for SA tour.

With right team combination Aus is still better than SA speciallly in ODI and T-20. SA is good test side.

aussies cricket
by kapil sehgal on Feb 17, 2009 02:00 PM

aussies played cricket both on & off the field, with players playing hard in the middle & off the field hostile crowds/hostile media.before playing the game in the ground aussies mentally disintegrated the teams with pre tour buildups(they target players whom they fear the most like murali/peiterson/bhajji/dravid/sachin etc).india should be given due credit for showing the world how to play them.on india's last tour they couldnot hurt us off the field & we played hard in their den.later they lost to us in india.sa beat them ,nz fought hard with them.
now the whole world knows how to tackle these aussies.

Is that your barbling, ms.sanath??? Nothing relevant to what i mentioned....Its great to accept the temporary bragging rights, unlike some punnks claiming 0-5 against NZzzz before even taking a nap at the backyard of Auckland Oak.

Ms Bhuyan, no barbling here....it is very clear to ppl who want to understand....ur "pitying" SA to "see them struggle" (which nobody else has) shows how hurt u guys are with the truth that u can only boast of a past when u had good players, and how hurt u r that a team that came into international cricket after a very long break has been able to beat them to the top slot...claiming that we can win 0-5 is better than claiming scintillating victories due to rain, and claiming bowled decisions after breaking the bails with ur gloves...incidentally though even that could not save them from defeat...

Rathore:

As rightly pointed out by Ponting (and you too), similar pressure was the undoing of England post their 2005 Ashes win...

You can't keep a good team down for long, you know.. as Aussies proved after a scintillating comeback in the NZ series from 0-2 down...

Pseudos, did you notice something common in the Australian Team that lost the two tests two England in 2005 Ashes Series and the current team.

A player called Glenn McGrath was not a part of either.

Also McGrath played all five matches in the next Ashes which Aussies won 5-0.

So, Warnie gets a ZERO mark for being present, Mr.Clatterjee?

You normally frame absence of these two for Aussie abate.

The Ashes win by England in 2005 was an aberration. All the tests won by England in that series werent comprehensive by any stretch of imagination and that's why england struggled in the return series in 2007 and suffered a 5-0 whitewash.

Whereas the series was pretty comprehensively won by SA in Aus. But yes, the Aussies will give it a fight. One can only write them off at one's own peril.

what are you talking man? pls correct facts, nz almost won the one day series 3-2 had rain not interrupted in the last one, when they needed just 33 in 6 overs.in 20-20 aussies scored just 151 is it really scintillating???
the truth is aussies are struggling
against new look teams like nz.

no, pseudos don't see that...in fact, they choose not to see that...they just see how 'valiantly' Aus won the series...that too when ex-greats (even from oz) have pointed out that this team is the weakest to represent Aus

Ms. Bhuvan seems to miss the point as usual that NZ lost by only 1 run to the "Very Great" Oz team...where in the past with better captains and a good team they would have won by a huge margin
