Everybody knows that cricket is dead in West Indies. People there prefer to watch baseball and football. Also because of the antipathy of officials and poor run of West Indies team nobody wants to watch cricket.

I can understand the bemusement and / or anger of players and fans, but why officials? They knew about the state of the ground, so how could they allow the match to start in the first place? Wasn't it their duty to have prevented this farce?
