Please stop abusing Sachin
by jenil karthick on Feb 06, 2009 01:55 PM  | Hide replies

Hello Mr. Aravindh, getting a century alone can't win you a match. Sachin was an effective ODI player in his earlier days even before he made his 1st ODI hundred. He was a trend setter in his days. His approach, his aggression and everything left an impact in the Indian team. This is the secret behind his chances/opportunity provided. Never blame him

Tendulkar is Greatest ever produced by Indian Cricket
by ARVIND AGGARWAL on Feb 06, 2009 12:24 PM  | Hide replies

Look at the initail days of Tendulkar. He took more than 5 Years to post his 1st ODI Century.
He is great only because he has been given uncountable no. of chances. U give this many no. of chances to any club level cricketer, he will perform in the similar fashion.
I am following cricket for last 20 years, I have never seen any body getting these many chances as him.
I dont know how big JACK he is having who offered him so many chances.
Now I ask all the followers of Sachin, why do they believe that he is greatest.

I'm sure you must be following cricket for last 20 years but that would be street cricket...otherwise you wouldn't have posted remarks like this for a cricket as great as sachin.

Its Not the Jack dear, I think the Indian Cricket revolves around Sachin. Even though he is not in his greatest form, but We should Never forget that we the Inidan Cricket fans feel Proud to quote" IF CRICKET IS A RELIGION THEN SACHIN IS GOD"
Long live Sachin, i wish he Plays for ever. I hope i will continue following Cricket even after he retires... Or may be i will also retire from Watching cricket. I do critisize him when Sachin gets out Cheaply. But still God is God...

VAIBHAV ,IT'S REALLY WRONG TO QUESTION SACHIN,AS HE WON US ONE DAY TOURNAMENT EVEN IN RECENT TIMES IN AUSTRALIA,BATTED WELL IN TESTS BOTH AGAINST AUSSIES AS WELL AS ENGLAND.
IN SRI LANKA HE WAS WRONGLY ADJUDGED LBW IN ALL 3 ONE DAYS.SACHIN STILL MAINTAINS AN AVERAGE OF 56 IN TESTS WHICH IS BEST BY ANY INDIAN IN ONE DAYS HIS AVERAGE IS 44 WHICH IS SECOND BEST TO DHONI ONLY.
LET US INDIANS NOT QUESTION THESE GREATS,WHO HAVE SERVED US FOR 15-20 YEARS.
LET THESE ICONS BE THE SCHEMERS FOR MANY MORE VICTORIES TO COME.
MY COMMENTS ARE NOT TO OFFEND YOU BUT I AS AN INDIAN FEEL HURT ON SUCH COMMENTS.

Look at the records, dont go by what Journalist's say. There has always been good performers around. I think u forgot Jadeja, Amre, Prabhakar, Bedade, Sidhhu and many others. The only problem is that they have always been in & out and never been able to get settle.

The only difference is that when they hit big scores no body talks any thing, but when tendulkar does any thing it is the main head line.

Jadeja never performed even at an average level in test even after many chances.
Bedade lasted only one series where his performance was not even upto the mark.
Sidhu had a high backlift action so he never succeded out side the subcontinent.
Prabhakar as everyone know wht kind of person he is, u cannot just compare tht person with Sachin.

Vaibhav i think u r nt aware tht even the all tiume gr8 Don Bradman has praised abut his batting.I am nt saying he is the god of cricket bt during his age and still now in phases he proves how much important he is for the team.Even his career stats proves it all.C surviving in a sports career and tht 2 consistently for more thn 15 years is not a every normal people's job.He is a just not gr8 bt he is a down to earth person and matured enough to know tht whn he stops performing he himself will retire. Most of the Indian cricketers have even said in their interview tht even his presence in the dressing room gives them a lot of respect.Still the gr8 cricketers like Warne, Lara, Mcgrath, Akram has loads of respect for him nt just coz of his talent bt also as a human being so atleast respect him on behalf of humanity.

Hi,

All kudos to the indian team for their record 9th win, but I feel subcontinent conditions the toss plays a vital role out of the 9 wins india had we have won 8 tosses, also batting underlights is not easy at all, I wonder waht the score(win to loss) would have been if we had lost all the tosses.

your thoughts!!

Real Acid test is @ Newzealand
by manju nath on Feb 06, 2009 11:04 AM  | Hide replies

Despite the fabulous performance of Indian TEam on its soil and indian subcontinent, doesn not counts much unless they show the same tempo @ newzealand, shich is considered as very difficult conditions for cricket in world, especially for Asian Teams, if the team performs same like in srilanka, [atleast have to win series] then we can conclude team india can be........1

Going by you logic, then other teams are also usless, as thy perform good at faster pitch and cant win comprehensively in Asian especially in India and Srilakan pitches.

Slow and batting friendly pitches are just another variety of cricketing pitch. I dopnt understand logic tht only fast pitches are good and that to of foreign pitches, why cant thr be 2 kind of battleground. why we need to de mean indian pitches all the time. Have u ever heard other ppl speaking negatively bout their pitch??
why we like idiots are always in awe of others and dont respect ourselves

if India had lost the series and all its matches also I would have been a proud INDIAN.Cricket does not decide the feeling I have for my country,it is its people like you and me that makes me proud.CAn you imagine if the same merit alone triupms policy is followed in education,India will be a super power.Think of all villagers getting the same facilities as those in the city with ref. to education, sports and health care...INDIA will shine indeed...if not for the politicians..but we are doing it inspite of the politicians is indeed a great achievement.
