In a way Vinay is right. SRK is lucky to survive that Porkis pulled out. His royal investment in Shoaib Akter and Haffiz back fired. The only one worked for him was Gul.. Time will show how good Murtaza is..

What you think good doesn't necesorily has to be good for others..

Price of Mortaza is fully justified
by Sanjay Pahuja on Feb 06, 2009 02:34 PM

Cricket is a team game and last year Rajasthan Royals proved how important it is to have the whole team together throughout the tournament. It is the only team that had the services of full team for almost whole season and it won.
Both KP and Flintoff will be available for 15 days only - can play for maxm 3 - 4 matches and where are their replacements?
Mortaza has been the best all rounder in ICC ranking for some time and he will be with the team for whole IPL season . this is much better than a player for 15 days - whatever may be his calibre.
Secondly, other than SRK there are cricketing brains too - not for nothing Mohali team also bid for him till this price

Team work
by jenil karthick on Feb 06, 2009 01:46 PM  | Hide replies

Vijay Mallaya has proved that he is empty headed. Being a business man he never realized the importance a team work. A single player can win you a match, but not a trophy. Buying a player of Kevin Peterson's caliber alone cannot win you the title. He needs to get a team, which will unite together to deliver the best. Mallaya has to get a team that will combine together. Only then he can give such open statements.

When SRK can buy Mashrafe Mortaza for 3 crores then Kevin Pitersen should have been bought by Vijay Mallya for 15 cvrores........

Vijay Mallya operates out of his own money and Kingfisher is a company which can pay only if it makes money. If you dont have a job and no money, do you pay your maid servant from your savings??
