Harbhajan and Mona shud thank their stars that they have just been summoned by the court...had they insulted mohammed and ayesha their heads would have been dead by now with theri heads rolled off... in any case, the Ravana-Sita dance act by the crack bhajji and mona was really distasteful and insulting

Indian judiciary should throw these frivolous cases out!
by Ramesh Kapoor on Feb 05, 2009 09:11 PM  | Hide replies

The mere fact that one's belief's are hurt, so the other person is taken to court. How about all those sharias and fatwas issued by a Mulla is not taken to court. The magistrate's court or a high court judge should plainly throw these cases out even without trial. They are frivolous and time consuming. There is no crime committed here, except say someone's sentiments hurt, but how many other actions taken in the name of secularism are being tolerated where sentiments of the majority community are hurt. Come off it.

Why are you becoming a JUDGE? There are people who felt hurt and if court finds merit, it will address the issue, otherwise it will throw it out.

Are you aware that we who believe in 'freedom of expression' and 'democracy' etc, constitute less than 5% of indian population? It is a headache for the govt to manage the anger of so called 'uneducated' and 'illerate', who are sensitive.

Well - Didn't the Govt. last year say that Lord Rama did not exist - which means there was no Sita either - what's wrong in playing in some characters from a Novel - and sentiments get hurt of these people - why not rather worry about getting the half of Kashmir land which we have lost to Porkistan in 1947 and offcourse Pork gave a part of that Kashmir to China as a Gift - Why don't these Hindu Culture and Tradition holders first worry about these matters rather than worrying about some TV Show and what is shown in it -

Agreed. The problem is that our judiciary considers itself as having no accountability. Else how can it have time for these frivoulous publicity seeking matters while so many lacs of cases get keep piling up in our courts. But you cannot file PILs against the courts can you ? How can they judge themselves? In the name of upholding the majesty of the law our judges are more interested in upholding their egos and arrogance. Have you ever attended a session in court? You will find out what I mean.

My School Drama
by Raguraman Ramachandran on Feb 05, 2009 08:49 PM  | Hide replies

In our school too, a muslim played ravana in the ramayan play. Maybe these children should also be chargesheeted.
In an another nativity play, a hindu played Jesus. Another violation i believe.
If we take many movies and serials where people of other religions have played hindu / christian gods and other mythological characters should be charge sheeted.
My Opinion - to hell with these hell raisers who pick on celebrities.
If something hurts your eyes, close them. Don't watch them. The audience will decide whom to choose / follow. Believe in the intelligence of the viewer/ audience - Just like you believe them during our democratic process.

Harbhajan Singh is not chargesheeted and summoned because he is Sikh and hurted the feelings of Hindu but because he played Ravana and danced with Sita. Ravana and Sita combination dancing has hurted the feelings. If he had became Ram instead of Ravana and danced with Sita then there was no problem at all.

What is next, Mr. Eienstein?

People revere these figures. Anything against their beliefs hurt them.

BTW, why not pick on Mohammad, Jesus or Sikh guru? Why always Hindu gods?

Instead of telling billions sitting at home how to feel, why not to tell so-called celebrities not to mess around.

Raguraman,
They were hurt not because a sikh played the character of Ravana, its because they had shown the Ravana and Sita characters dancing.
Think before showing your intelligence on public forums.

This is what you can expect from these folks in return. People have given them respect, admiration, fame and money. They turn around and show their stinky behind to same people.

Kick their asses. Stop buying any product endorsed by these thankless people.
