India is the best team in all froms of cricket
by M Alem on Dec 30, 2009 10:59 PM  | Hide replies

India is by far the best team in all forms of cricket and will remain so for many more decades.
Gautam and Bhajji can be magnanimous although there is no reason to believe that Lankan claim had any merit. Sangakkara and his team mates are bunch of cowards.

Alem:

Thanks for telling us that Bhajji and Gambhir (and possibly more in the Indian team) are liars and cheats. :)

INDIAN PLAYERS TALKING ABOUT KOTLA PITCH IS DISHEARTENING
by vaibhav kumar on Dec 30, 2009 10:53 PM

There is hardly any doubt that the kotla pitch was not up to the mark. But to exploit it and specially being an INDIAN players is very unfortunate. This seems to be a planned strategy to expose DDCA inefficiency, but it exposes indian ceicket NAKED overseas where the comments of these players will be given more weightage.

SEHWAG has started it and others just adding pury to it. It is unfortuante to have pitches like KOTLA at first place, and on the top of that, players criticizing it is absolutely kiddish. They should leave it to those who needs to be concerned. There job was not to play on that pitch and that's precisely happended. Any thing more than that is taking advantage of situation of WASTED interests and muddling more into politics.

Harbajan      206    &nbs p; 233      33
Saqlain            ; 169      288      21
Warne      ;       194      293      25Kumble            271      337&nb sp;     30

Look at Squlain record. I really don't understand why he was droppend. If he is born in India, he would had been captain for 5 years.

true. but its odi records.
yes. saqlain was a very good bowler for pak. after 2000, saqlain performance deteriorated but still it was not bad.

saqlain's downfall has reason in other player's emergence. during that time (may b internal conflicts with capt also responsible), shoaib malik entered the scene with same style of off spin bowling with bonus being his batting.

saqlain the bowler was dumped for shoaib malik. but eventually, shoaib malik turned out to b pak's ravi shastri, he remained a batsman n forgot his bowling. n in giving chance to malik, they lost a good bowler like saqlain.

Saqlain also had a chronic knee problem which required Surgery and he was in crutches for quite sometime..
But Saqi was a great bowler who took 20 wickets in 2 tests in India and was one of the reasons pak won 2 tests in 1999 in India, who can forget his bowling against Sachin Dravid Laxman Azhar and Gangu in that seris and Sachin other than that 136 in chennai had no clue to Shoaib and Saqlains bowling..

yes. gr8 bowler. i recall pak wktkeeper cheering him cumon saqii.

saqi was sidelined due to
1) porkis internal politics
2) so called allrounder shoaib malik.

but i think, he shud still make a strong comeback in intnl ckt. he is just 33. (if the age of porkis players r not fake.)

srivatsan, in fact, it is a good analysis. still saqlain can come back. he is just 33 years of age. if jayasurya like players can play at 40, saqlain can very much play.

Without harbhajan singh we would not have won 90% of the tests played during last 10 years...
He is match winner...if he behaves roughly it is only against cannibals...

;-)

Dinno Sreesanth was a cannibal, as was a journalist outside Mumbai airport. :)

But that's okay. Saint Harbhajan need not worry about any disciplinary action similar to Symonds, as BCCI is no Crickt Australia. :)

Also good to know that we have only one bowler who has made us win Test matches. :)

Even the mighty Aussies needed Warne AND McGrath AND some good batting for their wins, but India needs just a great Bhajji... :)

BTW, how many wickets did he take after 2001? :)

we boast of our scientific capabilities and the next day we fail miserably even in the simple task of preparing a proper playing surface for a one day cricket match in our capital city and agreeing to refund the ticket price. Most of us are still in doubt if we will complete work on all the facilities at the stadia for the 2010 CWG.A neighbouring country is able to start a train running at 350 KM per hr while our trains continue to struggle to keep pace with our existing capabilities

by Surya Vamshi on Dec 30, 2009 09:34 PM  | Hide replies

Sharad pawar should resign both BCCI President post as well as Union Ministership for maligning India's name in International Sports.
This is one classic example of how he takes bribes even from pitches committe and curator's.

We got a billion dollar from IPL but yet the cricket ground of our nations capital was deemed unfit for an international match....hahaha what the eff is this man....where has the money gone? Is there anything called accountability and transparency? They call BCCI the richest sporting committee, earning billions of dollars, buying international players for a local tournament...but what is the state of our cricket stadiums? None of them is of the level of Lords/MCG or even Gadaffi...every indian should spit on the face of these lalit modi, sharad pawar and all those responsible.

Why not a Ban based on discipline
by Bala on Dec 30, 2009 09:32 PM

This M0ROn doesn't deserve to comment on pitches.. Wherever this M0r0n go he behaves like a S1um guy.. I get really irritated when this guy comments on these things..

If we impose two year Ban on players for misconduct, this MoROn would have never played for India since 5 year.
