he will solve the case..which state u belongs..where citizens solve the cases not police? what a 3rd grade comment
The oldest and most venerable stadium in India - typically for Indian cricket also the most neglected. The 3rd Test against SL was held there, and that was a huge success. The wicket was the wicket in the entire series which produced bounce and turn. It was fitting for India to win on such a wonderful wicket.

probelm is to find a right venue.. holding matches in mohali or kolkata will be waste. the reason for that being a winter season matches will not start on time in morning because of foggy condition & before 4 pm the place will be too dark. because of poor light the match will have to be called off.
better think of venues like chennai, or mumbai where the conditions would be perfect during this time of the year

Chepauk is under renovation and is ruled out...cant think of any other sportive pitch in India...Mumbai got a test just recently...so only bangalore is a gud option...

no problem...we can see more swing and bounce for the fast bowlers in winter which will be good entertainment...

as usual you are a pessimistic giving your crap opinions.
India at home is almost invincible as seen in their series wins over Australia, Sri Lanka, England last year or so. At present they are No.1 test team and a batting lineup comprised of Sehwag, Gambhir, Dravid, Tendulkar, Laxman is like Eiffel Tower to be able to be broken so easily.

so what SA too have a good batting line up.Smith , Kallis , Devillers , Dumny
they have 2 good spiners also both and vandermerve
and fast bowlers have no comparison with india's toothless attack.

parnell is not even a Test match player...so much for your knowledge...Mclaren...lol..he has hardly played a few ODIs...for Tests it is Steyn, Morkel, Harris and now De Wet who has impressed...first learn the game fully and then speak...but you must be wondering why i point to only test cricket because thats where the real battle for No.1 position between India and South Africa will be...got it? now keep quiet and let us cricket experts discuss cricket.

Opinions r like a$$_H0les.... everyone has them and they r usually full of cra_P
its gr8 that the tests against south africa should be held as we will have the chance to watch top class test cricket. however, BCCI should do with regular venues like NAGPUR, MUMBAI, AHMEDABAD, CHENNAI, BANGALORE and instead give KOLKATA a chance to host test match. why depriving the most knowledgeable crowd of some good test action. moreover, no floodlights are needed for tests.
Re: good initiative
by Sachin Agarkar on Dec 29, 2009 12:56 PM
exactly...i propose one test in mohali and bangalore each....and onedayers in chennai, ahmedabad and mumbai.
Re: good initiative
by Vijay ramanathan on Dec 29, 2009 01:52 PM
Kolkata pitch is not good for test crkt nowadays..best test pitches are in Chennai, Mumbai..and Banglore, Nagpur to some extent...Call matches in Mumbai produce result...same with chennai(except for the 1 Ind vs SA in Mar 2008)..they can only do justice to test matches...

even in lord's last 5 out of 7 tests were drawn. does that mean that they don't host tests over there. why are you south indian's always like chennai and bangalore. try as you may , you can never match our passion in cricket.
