sachin need not have to prove anything here. he is above regional crickters, as he gets selected by default. atleast another mumbai person gets an opportunity to prove his strength.

He should also opt out permanently from Team India sop another young cricketer gets his place. Most importantly, Sehwag Gambhir should start the innings in future.

I would suggest that the so called another youngster which you are referring to should perform at a level which will force your state mate K Shrikanth to drop him from the team. First let them do that and then cheap people like you talk about dropping SAchin.

TenduJhooth:
Oldies or youngies. The ones who perform should play.
When Raina, Karthik and Kholi (whatever that means) will score 175 against Australia when the team is crumbling around them, then they too will have earned their place in the team. :)
Till then you can keep shouting yourself hoarse. And people will care two hoots. :)

S Shrikanth:
You are right. :)
Just like when he was 18 yrs old, the entire Team India back then opted out permanently to give him place in the team. :)
Ever heard about "earning" one's place and being in the team based on performance? :)
As to who should open the innings, you can write an application to BCCI, Kirsten and Dhoni if you feel that they are doing a lousy job selecting the team and more importantly not picking the right batting order. :)
Lotiya pathan is obviously 100% correct.Let that idiot (star) player be sent out of domestic cricket.According to me mumbai doesn't loose anything if he is out.BCCI ought to neglect him.
Really nothing new here. This is very common among all the 'Star' Indian cricketers, avoid to play in domesti once get they get set in the Nation team. No wonder our domestic cricket is not as good as it should be..
BCCI should start dropping such players, irrespective of their star qualities..
