Gambhir is always supported by dhoni and now gambhir proved that he will become next wall of indian cricket and will be much faster than dravid

Mr Lee
Re: gambhir
by Mr Lee on Dec 29, 2009 10:09 PM
yes, if he is made captain and he blocks entry of deserving cricketers into the national team even when he himself fails to score runs for more than 2 years.

but i don't think gambhir can stopp down to that levels. So i would say that gambhir, for that matter, no cricketer can ever become ganguly.

He is the FIRST Gambhir. What he has done in 2009 has rarely been matched by any Indian Cricketer, except may be Tendulkar. He has done fabulously in all 3 forms of Cricket. Hope he continues to put the team before self as he has done all along.

test-69

it funny why some frustrated fans of dada ,dhoni dravid and rest want god to retire.

youngster who pujara ,rahane will be lucky to have 20 as avg in test..........

infact it was god blessing that we have reached no 1 in test this year.

thanks god from bottom of true "indian" heart for giving immense pleasure for 20 years.

how can u judge a player like pujara, or rahane without even trying them.

even gavaskar had criticised inclusion of ishant sharma in his debut test. but he showed his talent n prospered in ausi against their best batsman.

Many Players have shown some flashes of brilliance (Ishant Sharma for instance since you are quoting his name) they have done it for a few seasons maybe a few years. But what happens later. If you see Tendulkar, He has been performing consistently for the last 20 years. That shows brilliance. His hunger for runs and his contribution is still the same and he still brings fear in the opposition. That is brilliance. His presence does bring about a positive effect in the other players in the dressing room. THat is brilliance.

The whole credit of India becoming no. 1 team should go to Tendlu. Now his fans will say, because tendlu was playing for the last 20 years, India is no. 1. Great contribution.

Credit for becoming the No 1 team should go equally to the players currently playing and also to some players like Ganguly, Anil Kumble etc. because Team India did not rise to No1 over night with just the performance of the current twam. THe ball was rolling ever since Ganguly became captain. He brought in aggression and a winning attitude into the Indian team. From poor travellers they suddenly started winning tests outside as well. So never be biased about a player or the current players. Also lets not forget the people behind the team (the coaches and management). Some people here like to make things a personal battle (against Tendulkar or for Tendulkar, or north India and South India) when will all of you realise that you are all Indians and stop this fight against each other. Lets be proud that we are Indians and that we are the No 1 team in the world. Also lets make the best of watching people like Tendulkar and Dravid while they are still playing. You will never see another Tendulkar or Dravid in years to come (maybe in our lifetime) Players like that are once in a lifetime players. Be proud we have them in India and playing for us.
