We several good venews where world cup match can be played so why we are crying for delhi. we can play the matches at Patna, Muzaffarpur, Bhagalpur, Purnea, Begusarai, Gaya, Hajipur, Vaishali etc. try any of them and you will get ideal wicket and hospitality too
Mr.Chetan Chauhan cannot walk off by passing such comments. DDCA has to accept that the pitch was not suitable for international match.
Though there were much better grounds all over India which have better facilities than Delhi Ground, the BCCI is to be blamed for this fiasco. The match should not have been given either to Calcutta or Delhi when the stadiums were under rennovation.

i agree he should own the responsibilty, if they wanted to make boucy track then why only ball bounced.
I agree to the views expressed by Mr. Chetan Chauhan. It is not correct to blame DDCA alone for a bad pitch, DDCA is working under the guidance of BCCI. BCCI is well aware about all the pitches in India and therefore cannot just disown its responsibilities for not ensuring a pitch of an international standard. The continuance of bad performance of Srilankan team in the international cricket exaggerated the issue. Had India batted first, the question of a bad pitch would not have arisen!

Yes i agree that SriLanka chickened out, they could have opted for underarm bowling at least, but they knew that Nehra and company are excellent underarm bowlers.
