Very well said. :)

In the meantime Harbhajan, Sreesanth, Zaheer, Gambhir, Dhoni etc. are teaching civilization to the rest of the world ... :)

I heard that Obama has personally invited the above greats along with all the rioters of Telangana to the White House so that he can learn a trick or two on how best to behave in a civilized manner at all times. :)

Good to See an official data proving this. Additionally Ricky is Most Un-Sporting & Irresponsible Crickter and Captain, which he has proved on Many occasions. Last India series under Kumble's Captaincy had it all.....

Didn't know Rediff = Whole world. :)

And instead of just reading the Rediff manufactured headlines, if you had read the article, you'd have found it devoid of any such magnificent official data. :)

All that the article says is that Taylor and other Aussie cricketers of the past have said that Aussie team needs to improve its behaviour. :)

Havd you seen Sydney Test under Kumble's Captaincy ? Was that Catch taken by OZs fairly ? Keeping with The Spirit of the Game is also an important aspect with Aggression. Does Ponting possess that ?

Preet u seems like mo ron. In any game, winning is must. In test match against Sri Lanka, Dilshan was given out wrongly twice. But Lankan never minc a word about this. We Indian always have problem with umpires. If we Indian lose match, we have many idiologist like u.

Frankly you are ajerk and your parents must be ashamed of having a kid like you who do not know facts yet want to let the world know that he have something to say. So frankly you are just a fool... How good Dravid and Laxman are just go and check with Rival Captains specially Australians who have been on recieving end so many times from Kolkatta to Adelaide.

You conveniently forgot Harbhajan and Tendulkar's World of Fame for Sydney Test. :)

But that's okay. Your sense of justice is too high to take such minor incidents into consideration . :)

Considering your "excellent" general knowledge of cricket, we all submit to this new definition of the Ashes. :)

By that logic, Andrew Strauss is the current worst behaved cricketer to possess this "SIZE OF CUP IN HIS HAND". :)

You really try too hard to entertain all and sundry on this forum. I like your comic sense of humour. :)

Ricky Ponting
by sathish reddy on Dec 27, 2009 05:20 PM  | Hide replies

There are a lot of things that have to put into perspective here.
1) Ponting is no great shakes as a captain. He was at the helm of a very very professional team who knew what each one was supposed to do and did so without any fuss. Suddenly with a weaker team he does'nt know what to do.
2) He definitely is not the best batsman in the world.
3)His arrogance has preceded him and is not on most Intl players "favorite opponent" list.
4)Ponting more than anybody else has brought "Cricket Australia " to disgrace.
5)PONTING IS THE WORLD'S WORST BEHAVED CRICKETER IN THE LAST 50 YEARS.

Ponting not best batsman in the world? May be so. But in the statistics for the last decade published in Times of India today, he heads both one day and test batting tallies!

All this report says is that Ponting is not very good at handling his team's behaviour not that he is the worst behaved aussie player. Stephen Waugh was a much tougher disciplinarian.
