Nothing will happen. No games will be banned. The world cup matches will be played as per the schedule and the people who have resigned today will join back to office very soon.
India is a nation of cheats and shameless people. These things keep happening again and again. The irresponsible media is just blowing this issue out of proportion.

its people like u who are shame for India..I am sure you are one of those cowards who just find it convenient to blame others for everything that goes wrong in your life. I have a serious doubt whether u r an Indian or some Anti Indian conspirator. look in to your own backyard before calling 'India a nation of cheats'

well, Paras, if you find the current Indian setup acceptable, then I think you must be sick, lethargic, unaccountable, irresponsible and a curse to future India. Otherwise no human will like the current setup, take anything, security, infrastructure, education, healthcare,,I mean anything and then see...actually people like you are responsible for current state of India. For me , I can not even travel in train without bribing even in rajdhani, there also the blanket and food guy asks for alms...forget I couldnt even draw my money even after queuing for 1 and half hours, reason the money finished at the counter and it was closed..
Arun Jaitley has aspirations of leading BJP to victory -with an eye on the Prime Minister's chair! If this man can't even run a pitiable, moribund organisation like DDCA what hope does he have running the country if opportunity ever presented itself? Most politicians in India have flatulent egos, much in excess of their intellectual and administrative capabilities! When will they realise their own limitations and not put their hands up for responsibilities they are incapable of handling?
bowlers shud also hv right to refuse to play if the pitch is batting paradise with no help to bowlers. bolrs shud refuse to play on pitch which gives 400 runs a day without losing wkts. y only batsman hv become cry baby. y not allow bolrs also hv a say in pitch condition.
Re: bowlers' right to cancel the game.

Please understand the match was cancelled becos the pitch was unsafe to play..meaning unsafe of PLAYERS SECURITY ..Not becos it was bowling pitch or batting pitch..We have had horrible bowling pitches earlier..EX:one in Barbados where Ind were bowled out for 80 odd chasing 120 odd..another one in NZ where both the teams were bowled out less than 100 in the 1st innings..Those games were not abondened as it didnt have uneven bounce which seriously injure the batsmen.
Re: bowlers' right to cancel the game.
by delguy on Dec 28, 2009 07:05 AM
agreed ,,,,but then bowler also has to bat, but I think bowlers should be able to refuse on batting paradise.

Well, to an extant, I don't agree with "bowler's right to say no" because that's where you have to show your skills. But on a pitch like DDCA a batsman has the right to say so. A batsman plays his shots on seeing the pitch and its behaviour and he has to be very quick on reading the ball but all is fail when it behavous oddly. What if one ball dropped on a place keeps low to your knee and another dropped at the same place rise to your face? It's even more difficult when you are facing a bowler who is bowling at a speed of 150 KMPH. Batsmen are also human, dear. Bowlers just have to bowl, sometimes they got support from the pitch sometimes don't. Now a days when player likes Gayle, Sehwag, Dilshan play bowlers do suffer on a good pitch.

But look at Pollock, MacGrath, Wasim and many like them who bolwed everywhere economically even on bating paradise wickets, didn't they? I remember a game between SA & WI, where WI batted first and scpred over 300 runs where every SA bowler got hammered except Pollock who took then some 5-6 wckets giving away just 35 runs in 10 overs. So it's not just a matter of batting friendly or bowling friendly wickets but also skill you possess and show at the right time.
usually there r 3 pitches on the ground. organisers take one of them to use in a match. if by chance, one pitch misbehaves with uneven bounce. can they go for the other pitch?
moreover, delhi ranji team was having a ranji qf match in the same city. but the domestic ckt pitch had no problem but pitch for intnl match had problems. funny!!!
Re: 3 pitches on the ground.
by naveen dhanerwal on Dec 28, 2009 09:09 AM
yes they can but it takes a lot of time to shift the arrangements made for the current pitch, like microphones, sight screen, boundry re-arrangement and a lot more I don't know about. I read it during yesterday's match.

Reason : It takes 10 good balls and the innings is over while when it lasts 50 overs it is expected to produce fireworks off the bat to entertain spectators. Now which one will you prefer batting or bowling pitch ? We are used to batting dhamakas hence we are not able to make good bowling pitches which is why our batsmen dance when they play in perth and brisbane unable to tackle bouncy pitches
Curators and the concerned organisers should be punished but not banning the venue itself. This may hurt the business associated with the region by banning for one or two years.
ICC has the guidelines and procedures to prepare the pitch. Why those are deliberately avoided to hurt the people entertainement?.

Did you forget Arun Jaitely, the president? He and Chethan Chauhan will hold a chintan bhaitak in the coming months to discuss the issue and will issue a report. Most likely, minority appeasement and reservation policies are to be blamed for this debacle.
One more time where BCCI and media(led by Gavaskar and co)will bully ICC and not let Kotla be banned..once Kotla security was so weak the Shiv Sainiks dug the pitch

ICC should ban any international cricket matches in Delhi for at least 5 years. Arun Jaitley & Co. should have some shame now to resign and take necessary actions to improve the playing conditions in Delhi; Otherwise, BCCI should take strong actions against the culprits who have made India famous due to some wrong reasons.
