Just before the commencement of the Lanka - India series' the Lankans were reported to have expressed concern and dissatisfaction at the security arrangements made for their tour of India. What an irony that they should breach their own security and all the protocol. What right do they have to comment on the arrangements? The BCCI should not mince words and make it clear to the Lankan Cricket Board that given this sort of dalliance of their players they cannot demand anything and that it is just not acceptable.
This sort of behavior reminds me of Andrew Symonds in 2005. Symonds went drinking late into the night at Cardiff before the ODI against Bangladesh. We all know the end result of that. The Aussies dropped a bomb big time against the game's fully ranked minnows. Subsequently Symo's booze habits went on to affect Ponting and his men who eventually lost the Ashes.
Now Dilshan and old man Jayasuriya have done something that could eventually cost Sri Lanka the series. If this is a disciplinary issue then Sangakkara will have enough on his plate. The only beneficiaries here are the Indians.
I guess they feel India is a lot more safer than Pakistan. However, a protocol is a protocol and they as international cricketers need to respect that.

Very well said. Symonds in fact had such a magnetic effect on the entire cricketing world that not only Australia lost the Ashes, but Indians like Yuvraj, Raina and Rohit Sharma too took to the booze and partying late. :)
Of course the epitome of the Symonds effect on world cricket was evident in the recent ODI series which we lost to a second rate Aussie side. But thankfully now the Symonds effect is shifting to the Lankans and we can benefit from that. :)
But I agree with your last point. Lankans should have followed protocol and taken to the Symonds effect under proper security cover. :)

Your comment defies logic. Either you are a terrorist yourself OR you are Anti-Indian. You forgot that Indians themselves are not safe either.
They should have inform to the management and gone out. So that they will have the track. Where are going so that easy for the security to cover. They should be very carefull about the security cover. It's very risky without out security going out....Be....catious.....while you are steping out....
This type of irresponsible behavior can only bring them more defeats and humiliation at the hand of India. However given what the terrorists did to them in Pakistan, they ought to be careful. Kolkata is close to Dhaka where cave dwelling taliban fundamentalists roam freely.

This is careless behavior on part of these 2 guys. I won't be surprised if India kick their butt in the 5th ODI.
