Indian cricket is fine to my point of view. Except Sachin Tendulkar, Kapil Dev, Sunil Gavaskar...and some other Indian cricketers are fabulous. but one thing that has been nagging me and pinching all along is that; India which is over billion population and cricket being on number one among all the games and sports in India. Why it is that Indian cricket has not been upto the standard and level that India must be? i.e. Australia merely 3to5 million population has been controlling and dominating world cricket throughout 10 years or over and now south Africa. Why India had never had a capability & chance to get on top of the test and odi ranking list??? China just blew off all the countries in this Olympics with the mostly golds and some silvers. India can't be even on no1 in cricket the only game India is proud of playing...something pinching me all the time...
i remember this personality, when he come to play a little master even i has to laugh at him,but when he made his first ODI centuary i had become a big friend of his, the way he batting, the foot step, the timing and technique he plays this somethink that no other player can play like thise or copy his batting style it is totally different & perfect also, i belive still he hold the bat on the middle of the ground, India will never defeat a single match. and plz dont compare Sacihn with someone else, Coz no other player can play cricket so long by holding a good Average
Sachin did not deserve a century. Remember he came opening and stayed unbeaten in the end. While India scored more about 240 plus runs. Sachin did not score even half those runs. If Sehwag was in his place , we would be talking of sehwag missing his double hundred or may be he even would have got it. When India crossed the 50 runs mark, sehwag was on 40 and Sachin on 10! Sachin is an average player and if he cannot score half the total runs scored by India, obviously he does not deserve a century.

hahahaahahah good comedy.... IF Sachin was behind scoring and got out like ur Above Average player Viru, then India would have lost the match by atleast 50 runs.. Wake up man..
india needs to prep for high score from lankan team.
it is not about new ball, look at karthik,
he could hit when gambhir or yuvi could not because lankan have figured their batting style like they did for dhoni. This is why Dhoni is forced to play slow and that can be detrimental when lankas have big score.
So some batsmen need to be rotated/rested and batting lineup needs to be prepared as well to do better.
Karthik needs to chat with Tendulkar for more consistency.
Don't know why people crib so much and criticize a youngster like Karthik who is finding it difficult to cement a place since he is always chosen as a replacement and gets 2 matches on the trot and gets dropped irrespective of performance . Indians were slowing down when he walked in , he played beautifully on a ball where the ball was stopping a bit .Sachin had his fair chance to get his 100 but was unable to clear the field though Karthik was hitting good boundaries. Even if the guy had kept extremely well , would he have been chosen once MSD is back ? Spare a thought ..Instead of celebrating a crushing win , still people are cribbing of the great man missing is century - Did he really deserve one since he was almost LBW twice but the umpire refused to give him in the 90s. No point in talking about the North -South divide when it comes to Indian team selection ..What have Kohli , Ishant , Raina , ...achieved extraordinarily in domestic cricket to be part of 11 ? Pity consistent performers like Pujara and Badri. Hope they get a chance against Bangladesh atleast.

It's not inexperience rather it was oversmartness by Karthik. He had forgot basics of keeping.All have seen how he get forward to stump for collecting ball and missed stumping apportunity.After sayyed Kirmani india did not found any quality keeper except Kiran More, and that is the truth.

i thing it's an victory for all indians because on first odi india played an wrost when compared to srilanka they chased 400 runs easily due to our poor fielding and also in bowling.among the 2 matches this last odi is most precious for indians.

I am not criticising Karthik's yesterday's performance....he did bat well, as he does always. He is a good keeper too, but always tend to make mistakes on ground...u may go back to some of the test and one dayers when he played and dropped catches ( he dropped a catch in last t-20 as well) Now by saying that I don't at all mean he is a bad keeper/fielder, but he should not make MISTAKES on a consistent basis. We rate him very high as a fielder, keeper and as a batsman.
