I SEVERAL TIMES CRITICISED SACHIN ABT HIS OBSESSION WID RECORDS. BUT YES'DAY WAT KARTIK DID WAS UTTER FOOLISHNES. WID SO MANY OVRS LEFT HE SHUD HAD ROTATED THE STRIKE. I CANT UNDERSTAND Y ANYBODY CAN B SO UNCONCERNED ABT OTHERS. AND FOR THE MORONS HARPING ABT INDIA'S VICTORY WE WER ANYHOW WINNING. THE WHOLE THING HAS SPOILED THE SHEEN OF VICTORY

it was lankans who purposely bowled to kartik wide down the leg side so sachin cudnt score century.
btw, everybody talking n blaming karthik for missing out of sachin century. thats too harsh. that way u can say that, even karthik cud hv completed his half century but he missed out.
india needs to prepare for high score from lankan team.
it is not about new ball, look at karthik,
he could hit when gambhir or yuvi could not because lankan have figured their batting style like they did for dhoni. This is why Dhoni is forced to play slow and that can be detrimental when lankas have big score.
So some batsmen need to be rotated/rested and batting lineup needs to be prepared as well to do better.
Karthik needs to chat with Tendulkar for more consistency.
is winning now in the present because players for whom winning matters more than personal records have come into the team, otherwise earlier many players would just be playing for records & ensure there place in the team. Now at least the team looks like a team & not a collection of individuals
The MOM was really a toss up between Jadeja and Sachin as both of them contributed beautifully to the win. I am happy to see Jadeja getting MOM as that will spur on the kid to play even better. After getting 59 MOM in ODI getting another wouldn't have meant much to Sachin.

I think a lot of credit for yesterday's match shud also go to Viru, the way he captained was superb. How well he handled the bowlers after being hit in the initial overs was a lesson in captainship

Viru kept his cool and didn't drop his shoulder. But even he was worried that Sri Lanka may make 350/400. But the bowlers came to the pary at the right time. Jadeja was excellent and so was Bhajji. Ishant too took away two wicket at a crucial time. Nehra was the best pacer and took Dilshan early enough.

Viru's field placing was superb, he used Jadeja really well, he himself took the lead & provided a few break throughs, y wasn't he allowed to bowl in the earlier matches is a mystery. I have said earlier too, strike bowlers shud be used at critical moments whereas other bowlers can be used judiciously to go through the overs in the mean time they can sometimes provide breakthroughs also
