How many times have we seen this. It's always countries with people of color (south asia/west indies) which face the brunt of all these umpiring punishment. I mean just look through the last 10 years and see what has happend to cricketers from these countries Vs crickets from Australia/England in terms of punishment for an offense. The thing is cricket is only played by a handful of countries and without a doubt south asia probably brings the biggest viewership to cricket (close to 2 billion). I just think cricket cannot survive without these viewers.
Unfortunately formet cricketing greats from thee countries do nothing to decrease this disparity.
This writeup is not to encourage bad behavior from these country but for just punishment for all. Why should there be any disparity when it comes to disciplining crickets from Australia/England vs countries from south asia or west indies.
West Indies deserve this fully. All these years, the 'Umpires and Referees Mafia' has been against India in particular and Asian countries in general. Whenever India wanted to fight against Injustice, West Indies have taken sides with Australia. Their Umpire Steve 'Deliberately Blind' Bucknor has always damaged India except once in his lifetime.
West Indies are now getting the treatment for standing by the blatantly partisan and racist Aussies. Serves them right.
