Cricket is dead
by Traps on Dec 20, 2009 05:24 PM

These guys will kill the game to win and earn money.

What is going on now? Is it cricket? These guys are scared to play on a proper cricket pitch instead of the carrom boards prepared now! This is complete disgrace.

And I remember Dhoni gifting the curators after winning the match on a dead wicket.

local clubbers can bowl better than indian bowlers...!
by mithu bhatia on Dec 20, 2009 12:27 PM  | Hide replies

if India bats first, no matter whatever score they make, its always as little as 10% chances of team India winning the match...its because the bowling attack of Indian team is nothing more than a bowling attack of a local club team. nehra has completely lost line and length and no swing as well...parveen is no player at all...zaheer is ok sometimes...harbhajan is ok for one or two wickets but he cannot restrict batsmen at all...which kumble could do...so india could only win if they chase and that too a target of around 300...not more than that...because normally indian give up very easily seeing a huge target...!

Mr Pattanaik- You are a stupid ass!!
by abhi ganguly on Dec 20, 2009 11:12 AM  | Hide replies

Mr Pattanaik, you are doing a big disservice to the game by preparing a wicket which is walk in the park for a batsman.
Do you realise that by disarming the bowler you are killing the contest?.
These 300 games are nothing but hopeless which do no good to cricket.
A bunch of bloody idiots are simply bent on poisoning the game to death.

totally agree , its as if the bowlers are not anymore part and parcel of cricket rather an accessory, comes out of some non -sensical thinking by the no-idea-about-the-game cricket enthsiasts who think scoring huge runs is the hallmark for great games.
slowly cricket is only going to suffer for this and the bowlers art is going to take a punch below the belt, everyday.
please stop preparing such bad pitches, pitches where 800 runs scored in 100 overs is a cakewalk should be termed as bad pitches

I'm sick and tired of Dilshan's and Raina's ugly hoicks. Please, a pitch with bounce... both these players (and Yuvi) will be sorted out nicely on a fast track, or one with good turn.

Lucky Sreesanth... Swine flu probably will save his career...

dude i agree with you. the lack of contest between the bat & ball is slowly becoming boring.we know some of the so called wonderful batsman have not been hit where they are the weakest because the bowlers have been restricted a bit too much.
players like Dilshan, when playing in Australia, look like a stupid ass in the park.

bowler friendly pitch
by vinay on Dec 20, 2009 12:20 AM  | Hide replies

when vl v start calling a pitch as good when its bowler friendly.
now trend is that a pitch is called 'good pitch' if it kills bowlers' enthusiasm n dead pitch. v hv to change the definition of good pitch.

And it kills the beauty of cricket as well.

The pitch should be like the batsman find it really challenging scoring a total 250 . In today's ODI matches batsmen are improvimg their records wthout much challenge. Also, the first 3-4 batsmen eat the fruits as they bat for 40 hours and leave the last 10 for the rest.
