He's the captain of 1996 World-Cup Champion tea Sri Lankan team, a thing which is still unachievable by the "GREAT" Sachin Mumbaikar !!!
It is shear jelousy of outsiders who can not digest the succes of this regular internationl event which has become most popular in shortest span.IPL has become platform for many new comers to show their ability. As far as playing for country , if one does not perform for the country he will be definately out of the team as many good players has queued up for the opportunity.

U may have grudge against the srilankan board for not taking ur comments and sending the srilankan players to IPL. But does that mean u can accuse Modi for every bad thing. In 20-20 there is certain amt of luck involved which didnt go with Indian team during T20.
But you Mr Ranatunga was foolish enough to send ur team to Pakistan when the entire world had boycotted it. Samaraweera and others are lucky to be alive thanks to the teams bus driver. And again u r willing to send ur team back to pakistan.Cant think of a more foolish person than you.

Its not a new thing that wrong people are in Cricket. The concept of BCCI needs to understand. Its a private body for influential and wealthy body.So,even if T20 exists or not,they'll be there.Next, T20 is successful everywhere although ths came later in India.Test matches have different importance.Be this Modi or others, so much depends upon the individual player. Like, Ponting is prefers Test and ODI. No one is forcing him to play T20.Such things happens with everyone in any field.But everyone needs to set his/her priorities. One classic example is Tennis. Many players dont play for the Davis Cup but prefers Grand Slams.Sometime, that worth important.Regarding, Arjuna Ranatunga, he is a frustrated and ill mannered guy. Selectors are the culprit...but also the players and if not all the players then at least team's captain...
now don't say me that Dhoni wasn't there when team was selected for T-20 WC or when Sehwag had fitness test report on selection table...
Have you ever heard any indian player saying not to play in IPL....or did Sehwag say that he is injured and won't be available for T-20 WC.
Dhoni can take break from Sri Lanka test series after playing and earning lots of in IPL citing the reasons of break for tireness....then why did he not skip IPL to participate in that series.

You must have seen how Dhoni faced criticizm when he told that some players were hiding their injury. Even media criticize the true players.
Don't let our players down. If you wanna criticize then criticize selectors and media for T-20 WC loss.
Dispute between Dhoni and Srikanth is not hidden. Selectors are not giving Dhoni a team which he wants.

You want to say that Dhoni is an innocent guy in Indian Dressing Room....but don't forget dear if Selectors are the main culprit outside field...Captain is big culprit on both in and out of the filed.

and if you talk about leading Dhoni IIC ranking then its again the hunger of money which he will earn as a result of fame from top ICC player of the year award....that he is now do regular batting at number 3 position where Raina was doing good and now Raina is at Dhoni's position...because Dhoni knows if he will play on 3rd then he has some chance to score runs on these flat tracks which will enable him in maintaining number one position.
As a result India looses matches -- CT match against PAK, Hyderbad match against Aus where we needed a match finisher and we know Dhoni is best in that but he played at 3rd down and had oplayers like Raina, Jadeja and yusuf there to do the task of match finishing which they are not capable of

Again criticizm. When Dhoni were coming down then experts, people and media were criticizing him and now when he is coming up then also.
The fact is India is winning winning and winning from past 2 years except CT and ODI series against Aus. India reached number 1 in ODI and Test first time in cricket history. It shows the consistency of Indian players and team.
