This dude Modi can suck on all the hype he wants. His league is a big joke. He's trying to model it aftet the FA premier league, the NBA, the NHL and the MLB. What a joke !! does he even know American pro sport doesn't have any problems or clashes with international fixtures.
For example: NBA players don't represent their national teams in basketball until the summer olympics, the world basketball championship which is held every 2 years. Same goes for pretty much every other American pro leagues.
The problem with the IPL is two fold: first, it's part of a sport that has it's foot in international fixtures. Cricket IS an international game more than a club game. Mr.Modi doesn't understand that.
Secondly, there's way too much 'bad' money involved in here. Cricketers are made to look like mercenaries instead of athletes. I wouldn't bet against the hand of terrorists, mafia lords and the mad occult in here.
FInally, the IPL and Modi can go to hell. It has done well to make Team India look like a bunch of clowns. Since 2008, the T20 Indian team has lost pretty much everything. The outsiders now know about Indian conditions like the back of their hand all thanks to Modi and his mania. It's in the best interests of Indian public to boycott the forthcoming league and give hell to the BCCI.

Hats off Jay. You seem to know a lot. Unfortunately, you are just a arm chaired QB...LOL..Cant stand others successess and hence you froth over here
That's why they say Politics is amusing. Modi meeting Dalmiya was far more significant for the ruling board than their intention to come to power in IPL. Knowing Modi's hold in various cricket boards, if Shashank Manohar became the new Chairman that wouldn't do much for him, as Modi would still be the commissionor and hold the power due to his contacts in international cricket. Also Power needs Modi when he becomes ICC president in 2010 for the same reason, that is, Modi is a big player in world cricket today. So BCCI committed an excellent move by swallowing its own pride and coming off as a winner. If Modi was removed, the inevitable would have been a coalition among Modi, dalmiya and narendra Modi..a strong opposition making BCCI, not only nervous, but on their toes every time. So...by all means I think it was an excellent political move by the top BCCI officials. Kudos to them. And looks like Dalmiya still has to go some way to get back some of his ground.
Why didnt the clarify that they dont have power to remove Modi or he is doing a excellent job in his capaciites early. Were they discussing deal amongst them all these days ??? clowns

IPL is utterly glam show not a cricket at all, where there's no contest of bat and ball happens. Its money making for star players and they dont believe what they preach, all the good and big meaning word.
