No. It's about making 400 runs twice. Aus made it only once and lost it.

Why Jadeja is considered as an all-rounder
by gaurav manchanda on Dec 16, 2009 03:07 PM  | Hide replies

Ravindra jadeja is considered as a all-rounder (he is only a part time bowler having no batting skills). the main reason is that he has played most of the matches of his career at the flat pitch of Rajkot Cricket ground.

Scoring runs at this pitch is not a very difficult task. Jadeja took full advantage of this flat track, build up good batting figures and disguise the selectors through his batting. this is the reason why selectors think that JADEJA is a batting all-rounder.

I don't think teamindia's yesterdays was performance upto the mark. There was nothing impressive except veeru, the flat pitch benefited him. There was a total failure in indian bowling department which need to be rejuvenated urgently to avoid any further humiliation. Seeing to the performance of both teams India still has to go a long way to achieve No.1 position in cricket world.

Huge score

Well, a clear indication of bad advertisement for cricket. It would now mean that we would start expecting big totals (especially in the World Cup 2010). The bowlers must have lost their self-respect after getting thrashed all over the park. Yes, the game was exciting than a T20 one. But, this can also spell doom for Test cricket. Only Sehwag, currently has the ability to bring some crowd to Test cricket with his batting. But this also means that the crowd doesn't want contest between bat and ball, and the mind games. All they want is boundaries and sixes. That's certainly not good for cricket. I still believe Test is the best and that gets the real tough one in mind. But our generation has now been used to instant-cricket. I hope Test cricket doesn't die a premature death.
