IMPROVE YOUR PERFORMANCE AND GET IN TO THE TEAM
by babran on Dec 16, 2009 12:19 PM

You have lots of miles to go in you career.Consistency is important in cricket. You keep on taking wickets for one or more year in the local matches.Don't think of a place in the Indian team after this performance.Keep on going. You will be selected one day.All the best.

Left arm orthodox LOL
by True Indian on Dec 16, 2009 10:42 AM  | Hide replies

How many pure bowlers left arm orthodox exist in this world? Dont know but all of them are in India. We dont need Rajus, Ojhas, Joshis nowadays, we need Vettori or Nikki Boje

Can Ojha make 100 runs in an ODI? He cant even make 50. Player is a player.. dont count him as a bowler or a batsman. Think of a player as someone who can contribute to the team as a batsman, fielder. Now thats where Rajus and Ojhas are a liability to a team. Vettori and Boje can even win matches batting and can contribuite to batting. Hope that puts some sense in you and to all cricket fans who evaluates a player as per his batting OR bowling skills

jumping the gun
by aditya kumar on Dec 16, 2009 10:06 AM  | Hide replies

before the guy even proves himself with considerably consistent performances in the domestic circuit, you -- the media, has already given him the taste of the limelight. This is the exact problem, it is mostly because of the media that kids who hold promise deviate from the promise they show at an early stage. The media is unduly harsh on the cricket team when it wants, why can't it be the same critic for these young lads?

Yes. You hit the nail. In India many such youngsters went to oblivion after media gave them publicity. A Rayudu was one such fellow whom they upgraded as Next Tendulkar! What happenned now? While in India uselss players like Agarkar, Munaf Patel, Yusuf Pathan are given more publicity the BCCI totally ignores stalwarts like Badrinath, Cheteshwar Pujara, Shikar Dhavan, Manish Pandey when these youngsters are showing tremendous potential.

We know the jokers who select. What is so great about Kohli? Poor fielding and lousy batting.Whereas we have Badri, Rayudu, Manish Pandey and Vijay scoring consistently and being left out. I pity this bowler also. Unless they get an early break we have to retain the likes of useless bowlers.
