I don't thinks yesterdays victory due to performance. There was nothing impressive except veeru otherwise it was as total failure from indian bowlers and batsmen. India is still has to go long wasy to achieve No.1 position in cricket.

,tell me one thing!why such great players r out of the team always[dravid, irfan, etc]even they perform at the peak time in matches
lastly india able to won the first odi, fielding lapses are there but the bowling of zaheer khan and nehra during the closing stages of the game was outstanding, new faces are performing to the taSK WELL amen
This time also dhoni & his team won with batting display only, not with bowling display. Team like AUS winning with good performance in all categories. Team india has to improve themself to maintain the victory note
It is not poor bowling, It is the greedy BCCI killing cricket by providing picthes which is hell for bowlers, the day is not far where machines will replace our bowlers.......
Dhoni is not a good captain as he is not using the full of his team. Sachin and sehwag should given a chance to bowl ahead of Raina that’s why they struggled to win this match..Sachin and Sehwag have capacity to break partnerships. They can be used for atelast 5 over each.It was only Sourav who was using full of his team and all the present palyers like Yuvraj , Sehwag Gautam is chosen during Ganguly’s time . Dhoni doesn’t have that eye to select youngsters
Our bowling is too poor and still he is going with the same. Nobody is guiding them just ball full lenth deliveries on these wickets and try to get some swing. They don’t use Yorkers. On the falt wicket they are not bowling wicket to wicket which is more effective on flat.
Selectors always choose the youngster on their performances in Ranjit , Dilip trophy or IPL. But its not the good way to find out good bowlers. Bowling action and height is the main factor for any fast bowlers and also how much swing he gets .I love to watch Wasim Akram , Akhter , Waqar , McGrath , Bret lee , Kapil, Srinath as fast bowlers. You people think that these bowlers can win matches for us. Batsman cannot make all the time big total, sometimes pitches are different..
I wud suggest Dhoni to pick a very gud bowler who plays from Rajasthan Royal. Kamaran Khan is much needed now in team. I m not from his area but that guy bowls amazing .Fast Bowlers to be in the team Zaheer , Kaaamran Khan ,Ishant ( Depends Upon his for

I thought Sehwag was back in the dressing room after a few overs nursing some injury. lazy guy he was. Just because he scored 146 he thought of taking some rest.

You Joker, why don't you become the captain ? Have you ever played one over under a carpet to comment on me. I am given a job and let me do it to my best. And I warn you not call me a poor captain.
Good LUCK for you to have a better understanding of the game.
As we all were enjoying the sixers of Sehwag/Dhoni...I am pretty much sure Harbhajan/Zaheer/Nehra would have been wetting their pants thinking this "Is this the day when my name is going to go in the record books as most runs ever conceded by a bowler in a 50 overs game"...lol...
Anyway ,God save the day for them...
But just thinking, do we really need bowlers in limited over cricket.... there is no swing, no seam and no spin..all poor bowlers can do is to change their pace n hope for the best...this can be easily achieved by a bowling machines that shoot bowls at different speeds...so why bowlers...

i think this is the result of pitch.its a purely batting pitch and bowlers has nothing to do.
I know Shewag is a good player, but claiming best one day knock..on this flat pitch where even kids can play...then he needs to think of his batting.. now cricket is really becomming like 22 fools playing and 22 lakh fools watching..
This series has shown that India can only produce flat and slow pitches and the team batting first has the liberty to score runs at will and the team batting second can only bat under pressure. Motera, Green Park, Nagpur and now Rajkot. Bowlers were massacred.
SL has a very poor record in India and this series is going the same way as the earlier one. Execept for a few stray fightbacks, SL has given walk over to India. Their today loss of nerve after being in a winning position would hit them hard and they will be mentally not a position to give much fight in the next 4 matches.
As Sehwag grows by age his batting is becoming destructive and giving all sorts of enjoyment in all forms of game. Sachin was destructive in his younger age but as sachin grown by age his destructive nature of batting eluded. Sehwag destructive in right way. Sehwag is a replacement of vivian Richards and of course our Srikkanth ?

ODIs 146 145 4 4091 123 29.01 5702 71.74 4 27 42 0
I wonder if one having a strike rate of 71 can be called DESTRICTIVE; Richards is ok with a strike rate of 90 though. in this way Draid too should be called destrictive as he has a better strike rate than Srikanth, ~75

Naveen, Correct your statistics. 202 197 8 6598 146 34.91 6420 102.77 12 34 11 901 111 Shewag's strike rate is 102.77. You are probably confused with his test strike rate.

how about swinging the ball in the air? in swing, out swing, reverse swing....no one talks about how these days focus is just on line and length. Imagination has gone, pitch was undoubtedly for batsman, but bowlers were out of whack....won't blame everything on the pitch.

Correct, but swinging in air as you have mentioned needs massive speed where the ball hit the air to change its direction "so called swinging in air" bowling speed of 80 to 90 miles per hour can produce such miracles results in air, we can't expect these from our bowlers, one of our viewer wrotes that "Bowling action and height is the main factor for any fast bowlers" Its true, please look at our pacemen dehydrated and poor looks, I am die-hard fan of cricket and always pray for mighty success for my INDIA but its sad for a corrupt top to bottom how can real skills come up. God help our nation and our sports.
