Blame the Pitch
by sanjayforu on Dec 16, 2009 09:37 AM

So you people are rejoicing India's victory. Is this a victory with a margin of three runs.

Who has benefited from this stupid pitch?

The media, the players, and the commentators........not the cricket game.

If pitches were these kind in the former days of cricket then these records would have been nothing before them.

Shame on people destroying the culture of cricket and shame on media to lift players rather than lifting the game.

Shame Shame

scores above 300
by vinay on Dec 15, 2009 11:34 PM  | Hide replies

scores above 300 has become common since the last decade of ckt esp after 2000.
this is due to the lack of good wkts suportive to bowlers, rules being made more batsman friendly, lack of some good wkt taking bowlers around the world. it looks like wwe matches played on the 22 yard pitch.

this is because of the custom made pitches for batsmen and the culprit is commercial cricket

For GOD sake

Can we have some meaningful cricket where there is even contest between bat & ball-why is BCCI bent on killing cricket-and cricket fans need to understand cricket is gr8 when bowlers have an equal chance of getting batsmen out. 40-50 runs scored on a difficult track is much more worthy than making hundreds on lifeless wickets-we need wickets to have pace & bounce as well as turn-otherwise BCCI will kill the golden goose & will dig its won grave-Also disticntion between cricket, baseball & gili danda is blurring day by day-this is not a good sign for this great game -i would rather see Mcgrath,Donald or Wasim against Tendulkar on green tops or bouncy wickets rather than what is served these days-True contest happens between gr8 batsmen & bowlers but when pitches are made such that bowlers are taken out of equation then the whole meaning of cricket is lost

bottom line is, whatever people enjoy watching, works. If they like fours and sixes then be it. Moreover the pitch was same for both teams.
Ultimately its the bowlers, who pulled the game back to India. so no need to be over melodramatic.

by gaurav manchanda on Dec 15, 2009 09:43 PM  | Hide replies

Selectors have nt picked any replacement for YUVRAJ & SREESANTH yet.

SELECTORS should bring in a batsman who can bowl some useful overs as the yuvraj's replacement.
