Who cares?
by Ramesh Kapoor on Dec 14, 2009 11:23 PM  | Hide replies

Viv Richards played during an era when technology was no where near to help umpires, 2nd umpire, et al, involvement. Sehwag if he was in the same era, probably would have done equally well. So why bother with the comparison. What's Saurav's own score?

Dada's grace and poise
by varamaraju on Dec 14, 2009 08:42 PM

Despite any failings you may see in ganguly, he is the most graceful, dignified, non-parochial captain we ever had.He should straight walk into comentary box and give his knowledgeble opinion on matches in his beautiful voice. He is a good speaker in english and hindi ,he will be better than the present comentators. He has given us these diamonds like Shewag, yuvi, bhajji, zaheer. He was a great team builder and taught us how to beat rude aussies by playing fire with fire.He was the first captain to have shown confidence bordering on genuine arrogance while handling rude teams like aussies , south africa. he will be remembered more fondly than azharuddin, gavaskar, vengsarkar etc.
god bless yu dada.

Can you pls put the stats for 50's also bcos some players play for records which coincides with India's win. I am sure 50's play lot of role in the low scoring tests.

Very well said.
He is the one guy who speaks the truth...Straight from the heart.
Dont forget his contribution to the team. The way we see it now, was envisaged by Saurav long time ago.

Saurav u will be remembered as the one of the best captains ever.
