The way Modi was high flying was not appreciated by many BCCI board members. Though Shashank Manohar is heading BCCI but its Lalit Modi who was named among the most powerful people in world of sports, well this rubbed the salt on the bruised ego of BCCI president. The last straw was when Modi didn't give vvvip treatment to Pakistani players by refusing to give additional time to Pakistani players to procure their visas for IPL3. This infuriated pseudo secularists of this country and hence this move. Though this move is spearheaded by BCCI secretary N.Srinivasan who also owns Chennai Super kings which is a clear case of conflict of interest but Modi never questioned this. Why? that Modi knows the best. There is no point in taking sides with any party as both sides are equally rotten.

IPL was & continues to be his Baby but people are& will keep plotting against him because there is lots of money & fame in this venture. I do not know Mr. Modi but I feel that he is being given a raw deal.The media talks about his high handedness & even if it is true I personally fell he should continue. Where were all these people,who are now aspiring for his post,when the success of IPL was not certain. Mr. Modi has done all the hard work & now people have salivating for his post. Mind you Modi will come back even if they succeed in De dethroning him now & I will love to see what will these people do at that time.
