Till what time this mentality will continue
by PS on Dec 11, 2009 10:31 AM

Why do the Aussies and English dont accept that India is no 1 now in Test cricket.
Who has stopped Australia in becoming no 1.They were pushed down due to their bad performances recently. This man also must accept this fact.
Always there is discrimination from English and Austrailian officials towards Asians
Why a century at Lords and Melbourne MCG is considered great and appreciated too much.
Isnt century made on Eden gardens/Wankhede/Kotla/Chinnaswamy grounds great?
When will these people change their attitude towards Asian cricketers?

cricket was never so boring
by SUNDAR RAMAN on Dec 11, 2009 08:08 AM  | Hide replies

Thanks to India and BCCI, cricket was never so boring. Indian players have lived up to their image of being flat track bullies. Where are the fast bowlers - the Marshalls, the holdings, the lees, the thomsons, the lillees? The current lot of Indian players would chicken out while facing these greats. Let's not be in an illusory world but face the harsh realities. This team is as bad as any team we ever had.

Agree 100%. The current one sided series and its results in last 2 test matches clearly showed that Sri Lankan Team underperformed after good performance in the first test. A super rich BCCI which controls over 80% of money in cricket can do everything for its team.

India should try very hard to maintain this position. But not by trying to draw the loosing matches but trying very hard to win them overseas and at home

You are absolutely correct I never heard this from anyone's mouth (not even from Boycott in past 9 years). Nobody placed a comment when India lost match against Aussies beacuse of bad umpiring by steve buckner... did anyone... This guys are jealous of India & indian players...

Everybody related to cricket who writes a column in a newspaper, all over the world, supported India and blasted Bucknor and the Australians during the 2008 series. I have read about Australian ex-cricketers and column writers blasting Ponting for the Aussie team's behavior in the series. Seems like you never read any of those. You can see them if you just do a Google search

Boycott is a regular writer of columns and he has criticized everyone who is on wrong foot. He has bitterly criticized Ponting and Co for Sysdney episode.

Seems either you never read his columns, or ignored them on this site.
