most probably he will skip tri-nation ODI series in BANGLADESH early next month (4th to 13th Jan), but probably play 2 TESTs against BANGLADESH. if skips few ODIs in 2010 before WC 2011 till 2011, in order to keep him as fresh as possible for WC at almost 38 yrs old, probably he will play at the max 10-12 ODIs in 2010 & then finally WC, may be 6 to 8 matches(depends in which round INDIA knocked out), so around 18-20 more ODIs he will play before retiring from ODIs after 2011 WC. so that makes around 460 ODIs. Sanath will play how many depends on SRI LANKAN selectors whether they want to carry him till the WC, when he will be 41 yrs 8 months old, 4 months short of 42 yrs!! if he plays till then, then surely he will overtake sachin in the no of ODIs played, else he will be just short of few matches played than that of sachin (provided he does not play quite few matches in 2010 & not playing till 2011 & retire late 2010, it has to be 5-7 matches more and then retire in around mid 2010 when he is seeing he is not going to get the chance to play WC i.e. 450 matches at the most, then sachin needs to play 11 more matches after today to overtake him, which is almost certain).Without skiping much ODIs till 2011 WC, sanath probably play around 465 ODIs.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY & MANY MANY HAPPY RETURNS OF THE DAY. BEST OF LUCK TO YOUR FUTURE. FROM Satya, MUMBAI
On paper there is nothing much to be said....as both teams look extremely competent....and this T20 series looks well poised for some close encounters....One Player, i would like to see perform from India would certainly be Yousuf Pathan...why don't they try him in the opening slot... at least on Indian tracks where he can be really lethal...
