Dhoni Bhajji politics prevented Sreesanth from bowling!!!
by exoticbronze on Dec 07, 2009 12:35 PM  | Hide replies

Dhoni and Bhajji's politics kept Sreesanth from bowling more. After his stupendous success in the last test, they - dhoni and Bhajji - grew insecure and were scared that Sreesanth will repeat his success in Mumbai too.

So even though he bowled a tighter line and had more maidens that ZAheer, he was quickly pulled out of the attack, and replaced with Zaheer!

On the last day, only Zaheer was made to bowl and Sreesanth was in the outfield. This Dhoni bhajji politics will create bad blood and ruin this wonderful team. Mark my words!!!

Chill buddy, Zak n Bhajji are given Rest for T20 and two ODIs, but Sree is picked. Dhoni might have thought to keep Sree outta injury scares. i can sense positive approach from Dhoni! and one more thing, there was no hard work needed as srilanka lost sanga early.

why r u so kind to Sreesanth.... I will consider u a big fool as u have made u r thinking just based on one or two match performance.

If u no abt sreesanth then just check his record. He is one of the most inconsistant performer in world cricket and Dhoni knows it better then you . One day he is great form but very poor the very next day

Why so complicated ?
by sunilkumar mishra on Dec 07, 2009 08:24 AM  | Hide replies

Gavaskra like Sachin make very complicated statements and I donot understand why they cannot give any credit to the presnet lot more particularly Sehwags for sheer brilliance in batting and Dhoni for the leadership he has provided. Why u have to attach Sachins in everything even when his contribution is so so. Let us celebrate historic win and the prime slot for the first time, this has to be the best combination as an Indian team

That is right that team india filled with only delhi and TN players becuase of the selectors and others, I dont care india ranked #1 or not but i have xerious concerned that the regional lobbeis working here. INDIA DIVIDED.

are in the team? If you see carefully, you will find not a single TN player's came to final 11 by default. Vijay came only because Gambhir opted out. Anyway Vijay proves his selection. Then coming to Badri. He is more of a bottle-man. Dinesh Karthik also does not have any guaranty in the team. Still you are saying team is filled with TN players.

Stop regionalism
by martha_focker@rediffmail.com on Dec 07, 2009 05:03 AM

When are we going to stop thinking in terms of the regional composition of the team? Does it really matter if six players are from Delhi or 7 from TN or wherever. The point is India is #1 test team and let's savor the moment because it ain't gonna last. India can never realize its full potential if we don't get past regional and religious shit.

bcci gave gift of money to all team members, including tech staff n current selection committe, etc.
but its not an achievement of only current team of players, technicians, selectors. it was a concerted efforts of all the players, selectors, etc. for last 1 n half year to get us to the top. v cant forget them n gv benefits to only those in current team.
i m not sure. but if v go by this logic. gambhir is not in the team of this test, but has been instrumental in ind's rise to the top. how can he n others like him can b ignored.

I'm not from UP but did it ever occur to you to take the size of UP (which geographically includes delhi) into consideration? With a population of some 190 million people ..which is same as Russia, europe or Pakistan, it'd be a tragedy for indian athletics if they didn't have adequate representation..

wrong analysis by mick patel...
UP has won ranjo trophy only 4-5 times while mumbai won 40 times..including the 2008 version.....still no mumbai players in team....

if population is the only consideration....then INDIA should have most players in FIFA FOOTBALL XI

Just to add to my previous comments,
According to your argument ,only these 15 are given chance and India moves into No1 Position !!!!
So why do we need others :)
One more reason why this is a stupid analysis

Useless & Stupid analysis.
When did Chawla,Badrinath,Ashwin,Balaji,RP get a game in last 12 months or 20 months. Vijay,Gambhir,Sehwag,Ishant,Amit everyone proved their worth when given chance.
Moreover, did u find the 15 u have given at a single squad?? So pls stop this nonsense. There was a time when almost an indian XI was Karnataka or Mumbai. People say Manish Pandey has to be selected. He wil be a failure just in the same way as Rohit & other T20 batsman failed. Let him play Domestic cricket for 2-3 years and get runs consistenlty, then he can be given the nod. As for as Karthik is concerned, it is a undeniable truth that he is the second best Wicki in the country and far better Shorter form batsman than most in the Indian team. He is footballed between Ranji & Indian Squad whenever he is selected for Injured Dhoni. Dhoni gets ill in the night, Karthik packs up to the venue in the morning, only to be again told next day that he is not needed. He comes back to Ranji match, makes a big hundred. If this is the way things go, what confidence will he have when he is actually given the chance.Give him Responsibility like DelhiDaredevils did, you will see the results. He is TN captain, see the stats for yourself. And TN is topping the Ranji tables for your Information.

Brits officially ruled india for 90 years--from 1857 till 1947. Unofficiallly, roughly 200 years...how do you come with 400 years?? You're like those folks who say Muslims ruled india for 1000 year...utter b.s....hell, they didn't even crack the south...my point is, don't justify your statements by acting stupid and shouting at the same time...

You have mentioned Delhi players selected due to selectors..Anyway there are 5 selectors from 5 different zones. So don't say the Delhi players are getting advantage of selectors as other areas also have their supporters.
