Dhoni seems to have expressed concerns about the bowling quality time and again in various formats. A better approach is to seperate the batting and bowling aspects from 1-dayers and Tests. The 3 key introductions in Tests are going to be C. Pujara, M Tiwary and A. Rahane who all have batting averages of 56 in First class cricket. They have lower batting SRs in List-A and this needs to be seperated where they need to be developed only for Tests. Rahane's current FC average of 64 should be the number candidate for Tests as replacements to the middle-order heavy-weights. In the bowling departments for Test only bowling SR are more important than economy rates and the top bowler right now is J & K's Abid Nabi with an FC bowling SR of 45 balls or 7.6 overs. Sreesanth's FC bowling SR was around 50 balls or Zaheer's was about 50 as well.

India needs to beat Australia, South Africa and England at home/away. Indian public are deluded as usual. India could not beat Australia at home recently. Indian cricket team needs to improve their bowling, fielding and fitness. If you let Pakistani cricket players play in IPL - you Indian public and supporter must be insane. No respect for people slaughtered in Mumbai . Pakistani player should be banned from IPL for 5 years. I would boycott IPL if Pakistani players played in India.

India could not beat Australia at home recently - that was in ODI.
when asstralians were No. 1 - they could not beat India in India for the entire duration.
When we were in Australia, we could have won the test series, but for the fact that we had a determined umpire who would everything in his might to stop indians. he rightly got booted out (nevermind even if it was due the clout)
No other team beat australia when it was on top of the game - not even the till recently ranked top SA. the ashes win by england was at the fag end of the dominant asstralian team.
but i do agree with the rest of your points. i feel, we have deservedly won the no 1 spot, even if its for a short while. the world cricket is right now even with the top3 teams not every far from each other.
it was our dream that india became no 1 in world's cricket.And is now & i wish for ever that India will set for always in no 1 position in test,oneday & T20 also.
getting no.1 is not a good one.we ve to keep it always.the way the no 1 team play for a match s capture all the chances u got, dont miss the chances.this is called unity what Australians did.still they got all abilities for all kind of games good fielding good catching and good athletic.Keep this activity and do it in the real time surely we are in top always.unity gives always success.All the best for india
