Flintoff is good ... but Botham is a cult character! Can't even compare the two of them, he did everything like an expert player and not bit's n pieces like current allrounders are.

Harmohan your observation is spot on. But still I consider Jack Kallis the best for the sheer value he adds to SA team through his bowling, Batting and fielding. His records speak louder. He is truly not flamboyand and as charismatic as these above foursome. But look at the stats. More than 10k one day run and more than 300 one-day wickets. Add to this almost 10k test runs and again 300 test wickets and 100 catches in each format. With IPL II he has even proved his worth in Twenty20. However he is like India's Rahul Dravid. Hardly gets his due owing to the presence of someone very flamboyant such as Gream Smith or ABDV. But at No 3 he is SA's wall with his rock solid deffence and never-dying hunger for runs. Captaincy however has been a dream for him. Initially it was the shrude and best-ever Hansie Cronje, then Shan Pollock and now Gream Smith. The last one is very young and has exhibited good captaincy. This effectively means he will end up without getting a try at captaincy, which I am sure, he would have shouldered with aplomb. But this quite the truth. Flamboyance always scores over the resolute at least when it comes to appearance.

he performed well in his bowling arena...but utter failure in batting area...so he never equal to botham...he played brilliant match winning inninings by his bat....
We know it's a tough time for you, but you may play at the top level again.
India's soccer captain Bhaichung Bhutia had this operation and he is also playing now - and we all know that football is a tougher game than cricket in terms of physical ability.
Lastly, I have a personal point associated with your courage! I have also recently had this key-hole surgery in my knee. If you feel strong and resolute about the success of your operation, I would feel more confident!
