Shane Warne the hell with you and the hell with Twenty20 Format..
by Arpit Amin on Aug 29, 2009 12:47 AM

Shane Warne you are an idiot. Twenty20 cricket is a big joke man. It is an absoulute rubbish cricket. Even if ODI's are looking like Twenty20 cricket than what is the need to removed ODI's. Why don't they remove Twenty20 cricket and they should also ban IPL forever... You are the biggest idiot i have ever came across. Don't you dare to talk about dropping ODI cricket in favor of Twnety20 cricket because I know there are a lot of fans who like ODI cricket and if they eventually drop ODI's then cricket will lose a lot of those fans. For me, ODI cricket is here to stay and I can't live without ODI cricket. So if there is no more ODI cricket then I will stop watching cricket forever.

Shane Warne is speaking correct. After getting a huge success to T20 cricket nobody is thinking to watch ODI matches. It's just wastage of time. T20 cricket is the full package of exciting cricket as well as entertainment. ICC must think about it. It will help for spreading of the cricket all over the world.

Friend T-20 cricket is not real cricket, it is only fun and excess of T-20 games will make the game dull in future. You can not reduce a foot ball match to 15-15 minutes. Test cricket is real cricket , try to enjoy the longer version if you are a true fan of cricket

Change in 50 over match
by Pradeep Upadhyay on Aug 28, 2009 05:29 AM

In ODI's I have seen a lot of matches where toss is crucial, specially some grounds are notoriously famous where chasing is difficult. To compensate this bias, the game should be changed into 2 innings of 25 overs each. A team bats 25 overs and then second team starts batting 25 0vers. Then a lunch/dinner break and then other team will start batting where they finished their first innings (say 2 for 125) and carry on for next 25 overs. Then, starts the final chase. This change will bring the following advantage:

A team will not have to field for more than 25 overs in a stretch. Much comfortable in hot weather.
Less tiring for bowlers. Less injuries.
More excitement as first inning lead will play its role as it does in Test matches.
Most importantly, the disadvantage of dew factor, batting in floodlights is distributed.
Better decisions in rain affected matches. If second half is rained then first innings will dictate the result.

Hope ICC officials hear about this proposition and consider it seriously.

3 formats
by deewaker pandey on Aug 27, 2009 07:07 PM  | Hide replies

all three format r good n odi n tests mst nt b scrapped. t20 mst b for globalization of cricket. odi n tests must b played only by top 8 teams who r strong enough. others country mst only play t20 cricket. moreever top teams must play more ODIs and tests instead of T20. t20 shd be played by nontestplaying country mainly.

I'am saying that 50 overs format, if it has to survive, it has to wring in the following changes :

A) Continue with the power play rules but introduce 2 bouncers per over in this format....

B) Pull back the boundary ropes to have a boundary of atleast 75 mts...

C) Introduce some weighting system for number of wickets taken.....right now, a team batting first can score 287 for 2 in 50 overs and that can be chased down by a team scoring 288 for 9 in 49 overs......that is not right!!

Here one team has lost only 2 wickets and has still lost the match.....there has to be some credit given to number of wickets taken...

I think Warne is 'Right'..!
by Sumit Mohanta on Aug 27, 2009 07:05 PM

... because after the success of T20 format, 50-50 format is boring in the busy lifestyle; but Test Cricket is the classic format of the game, Cricket.
