The truth is that punter ponting alone in his career has won more trophies than Indian have in their entire history haha
Never mind indias population is 60 times that of oz and in India cricket has no contest whereas in oz it has to compete with a dozen sports and comes at no 2 or 3 or 4 as Australian rules football is no 1 and throw in rugby league which is probably no 2 and soccer and rugby union that make the top 5 sports and u know that historically ind have not even had one-tenth the success in cricket compared to oz haha despite cricket in ind being more than ten times popular compared to oz haha haha haha haha
Historically oz have always had more sporting success than any other country per capita population
Historically ind have always had less sporting success than any other country per capita population and that applies to cricket as well haha haha haha
I don’t read posts I don’t reply to

Cardiff test was the turning point of the series.
by TapeshParimalTripathi on Aug 26, 2009 12:12 PM  | Hide replies

Cardiff test was the turning point of the series. Eng saved this test match while aus will not forget ever ever this test match especially last 11 overs where Monti and Jimmy compled aus to head down.

Aus cannot forget and were thinking again agasin kaash ! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- those 11 overs.

They might well be tempted to do that, but it is not going to help any...... :)

The best thing for them to do is to look at the positives from the series, and apply them to their rebuilding process..... :)

Cardiff and Headingley clearly proved that when players contributed to augment Ponting's captaincy, results happened..... . :)

So there is no immediate need to make drastic changes for captaincy.... which they have rightly done by retaining Ponting till 2011....

Now they must focus on getting their act together and finding the right combination that clicks..... :)

It just goes in to show that Australia has far more fans worldwide than WI ever had..... :)

Hence whilst not many were bothered by WI downfall (in fact even West Indians themselves were probably not too concerned), almost the whole cricketing world wants Australia to dominate again..... hence the continuous flow of all the good suggestions you constantly see on this forum...... ;-)

Maybe yes.... maybe no..... but rebuilding sure will go on.....

We can only wait and watch the outcome as it unfolds..... :)

Lets first see what happens in the ODIs.... then theres CT..... so lets enjoy some good cricket..... whoever ends up providing it - England, Australia or India (in CT).... :)

Agreed.... the lack of consistency was visible during the Ashes series..... one match great.... next completely down.... then bounce back to kill.... then buckle under pressure in the decider.....

You are right about their dominance factor going down seriously.... :)

Ponting is not Steva Waugh who was compled to left out.
by TapeshParimalTripathi on Aug 26, 2009 11:15 AM  | Hide replies

Ricky Ponting should carry on till he feels he is fit.
So what he has lost second ashes in his career. Although it is a hig shock to every Aus supporter also but we should not forget that this man have won two successfully world cup for Aus.
Moreover he is considered one of the best skippper ever in the history of world cricket.
I can bat with all of u that he would go when he will feel. Otherwise no one can touch him. He is not Steva Waugh who was compled to left out. He is Ricky Great Ponting

Katich is definitely going to continue?..... Good for him.... :)

As for Haddin, he is out of the team for a while now, so he can be the non-playing captain a la Davis Cup style.... :)

katich is a prolific scorer and never in his career has he been out of form...u can bank on him to play for anothr 2-3 yrs...

And for Haddin, I am talking about long term and not for a series or two

Good..... I was worried for a moment that you were calling for Ponting's ouster becoz of this one series..... ;-)

since you are planning long term, there shouldn't be any real threat for Ponting.... :)
