Actions speak louder than words.

Ganguly should concentrate on preparing well for next IPL instead of giving bytes to the media. In case of a failure, these words will return to haunt him. KKR lacks good wicket taking bowlers. They also lack good fielders except maybe Brad Hodge. Their team for IPL3 could be like:

1) Sourav Ganguly
2) Chris Gayle/McCullum
3) Angelo Matthews
4) Brad Hodge
5) Ajantha Mendis
6) Cheteshwar Pujara
7) Ishant Sharma
8) Murali Karthik
9) Wridhiman Saha

The last 2 positions require two solid batsmen which KKR lacks. They can try Rohan Gavaskar & Shakib Al Hassan who will be allrounders and can also field well. Abhishek Jhunjhunwala is another promising young player.

One of the last two positions will be filled in by Ganapathi Vignesh (Ex ICL, chennai superstars and india XI player). He is actively been pursued by KKR since last 2 months. He is a prolific bat and a bowler. More than that he is a personal close buddy of mine since last 20 years.

Yes Vignesh did well in ICL. If he is able to carry on that same form in IPL, he will become a hit. But Agarkar is no good. Similarly local players like Yashpal Singh failed to grab the opportunities provided. I'm not considering the Pakis although SRK may be inclined to have them in his team.

KKR wont do well unless ganguly gains his original touch with which he bcame the fastest batsman to score 7000,8000,9000 runs in ODIS
but can this 37 yr old unfit ganguly bat like he used to do in his younger days
is the big question

Ganguly as a captain of KKR
by ashish dalal on Aug 26, 2009 11:14 AM  | Hide replies

I strongly beleive that Ganguly should be appointed as a Captain of KKR and should be given more authority in decision making. He doesnt need to prove anything to anyone. He has a capability of making the complete change over in the team, given a chance. He has changed the game in this country. Go Ganguly go.

Cheers.
Ashish

Ganguly is a natural captain. He is a brahmin. He eats fish. And his wrist work is the best.

Naturally!

you are not a right person to comment the master blaster. He knows he is not a good captain, so he volunteerly said he don't want that post. He only recommended that post to SELFISH DHONI. That Dhoni had thrown Ganguly and the great wall from India.(now Sehwag)

You also want to see the history that dhoni had scored 76 sixers in 76 matches before getting captaincy. But now this selfish man destroyed India in T20 and Chennai Super Kings. he didn't scores even 7 or 6 sixes after promoted as captain. But India won in Australia,England,S.L.,...with the help of TENDULKAR,sehwag,Yuvraj,Gambhir,Zaheer,Raina.

Sachin or any of his fan need not to prove about his excellence & class. You will never see the truth because in fact dirt is in your eyes. You are one of those useless critics who only want to see, hear, say & feel bad.
Sachin is great..! & not only me, may of the cricket & non-cricket background legends have accepted it. List never ends. If you want to see the the fact, no one can show you.

Sunil Gavaskar is the one and only batsman who plays for his personal records. Rest all does sometimes but not on regular basis.
