Ponting to continue as skipper of Australia
by mallajosyula senior on Aug 25, 2009 11:18 PM  | Hide replies

Our Indian selection committee should learn from Australian cricket board. We will immediately jump to conclusions as soon as we loose any series. They forget that the captain was selected by them.In the given circumstances the best team was selected and we have to believe them as the best available. Instead of that, we change the captain, change the players and the coach. If you do not believe your own selection then who will?

my frnd u forgot bowlers in indian team...

we can generate best players:
if govt. provides facility...
if govt. creates more fields to play...
if govt. starts giving out scholarships...
if govt. removes lobbying...

we can do everything but only if govt. stops its evil...

Its a typical sick attitude of us Indians. Blaming others for our failure. We need to ask ourself as an individual what efforts have made, what have we contributed.
Gov dont fall from sky. It comes from us only, if you feel that way, go in gov and show how is it done!
Blaming from outside is the most easiest job!

Ponting is the best skipper ever
by TapeshParimalTripathi on Aug 25, 2009 04:22 PM  | Hide replies

I am one of the greates lover and fan of Cricket. I started watching cricket from 1992. I saw top of many great cricket and I also their bottom.
But Ricky Ponting is my favourite captain ever. I saw many great captain like Fleming, Ranatunuga, Wesels from South Africa when it came back, Smith and Cronze, Jaywardhane, Gaunguly from India, Azhar to from India and now Dhoni, Inzmam and Akram from Pakistan. Steev Waugh and Teylor from Austrilya, Walse and lara from West India even Andi Flower from Zimvabye. Ponting is the best for me.

Australia No. 4 in ICC Rankings
by BadriPrasad Nagoji on Aug 25, 2009 03:48 PM  | Hide replies

The downtrend of Australian team started in the great Sydney Test, where the character of OZ team was put to acid test. After monkeygate the Aussies stopped so called sledging (at least openly). With this the other teams started playing better, and out played Aussies. May be the retirement of some great australian players also contributed to their down hill journey.
