SC:
Read the story above - "Our goal is to become Number One in the world - Says Strauss".....
And Vinay says in his message title - "Gavaskar is Happy"...... :)
Since you neither read the articles nor the messages, I have to repeatedly explain patiently to you the entire reasoning chain behind my messages..... :)

AP, You're master on nonrelevant comments and thread hijacking...:)
Why do you type weird crap while respoding to Vinay's comments?...:)
Vinay said "gav was more vocal against the ugly ausis when he said, ausis r the most hated team around the world. gav was right n he must b happy today."
Read whole message not just the subject..hehe....:)

Thnx SC. this AP does this. what do they say 'baal ki khaal nikaalna.' in response to any posts.
Eng team lack consistency!! they have to perform well in different conditions in different countries! Against Aus in Aus last time it was 5-0 defeat with much better team!!
sachin only play for records , and pepole are appreciating him , because indians loves record not win, thats why older sachin is playing, BCCI select sachin into the team without taking his fitness test
According to me the top 5 match winners for Indian team in last 2 years in ODi:
1.Sachin Tendulkar........ CB tri-series where he scored 117 and 91 runs in both finals and India beat Australia 2-0 in best of 3 finals, No discusssion require chapter closed.
2.Yuvraj Singh.
3.Gautam Gambhir.
4.Viru Sehwag.
5.MS Dhoni.
According to me the top 5 match winners for Indian team in last 2 years in test matches:
1.Sachin Tendulkar......... He has best average of 70.00 and he scored 2 100's against Australia in Australia and 2 100's in India against Australia, Chapter close no discussion.
2.Gautam Gambhir.
3.Viru Sehwag........ He scored 319 runs against South Africa.

Remember MSD's inning against Aussies during their tour to India where he firepowered 70 odd runs in no time to give indian bowlers sufficient time to bowl our Aussies which they did.
MSD is different kind of player, you can't keep him in the same category of Sachin and Rahul Dravid but certainly his kind of innings are always useful to get the result in test matches.

Yes India should win Champions trophy, Sachin Tendulkar should be MOS and India will beat South Africa in finals :-)

They have chance before CT to become number one. They can do it in Srilanka. Momentum is not with India. Some players are returning from injury, some are injured. India have to start from scratch and I think India can do it.

m not a avid supporter of ponting....but just to add ma views. After taking up from steve waugh...ponting has given his best to aussies. No one can forget how he outplayed india in Wdcup finals singlehandedly. His stats speaks for himself.Yes aussies was outplayed by good english cricket..but ters no point blaming ponting. evry good player can run into bad patch...no big deal
