Thats what rhis dirty Oz thinks of himself. Now as he has no other format of play left than IPL. How about scrapping IPL? wouldnt that be exciting Mr dirty Oz.?? Just keep your BIG MOUTH SHUT.
I have taken a vow not to watch any of the IPL matches.. ahaha now thats calmness and no unnecessary controversies and lots of time to utilise constructively.

but that wudnt help... i want the test cricket back... whatever hayden mentioned above is soo true... i hope the officials understand the seriousness of the issues and do something about it rather than just treating cricket as a commercial tool to mint money... the real essence of cricket which we used to watch a decade earlier is being lost somewhere... GOD SAVE CRICKET... MY PASSION
if tehre were no T-20 nor champions trophy, then aussies would keep on winning ODI WCups..
hayden has retired.so he can talk wat ever he wants..
now we get to see india and pakistan winning T-20..so the aus domination had come to an end..we wil get to see new winners frequently from now on as well as new players getting more opportunities..
for test cricket not to die down, we can have two teams from the same nation playing against other teams from other nations..
like we can have india A india B, aus A aus B etc... this way, we can have world test cricket...
and frame rules such that those playing in test and ODI, shldnt play in T20 and champions trophy and vice versa..

dude m really sorry to say that its because of people like u cricket is dying a slow death... people wid a thought process like urz are in authorised positions and its sad...
Well to come to the point of CT being scrapped, he is not exactly right in saying that. Yes, CT is usually a time-consuming and boring stuff and doesn't have the same zeal as the World Cup. Also with T20 becoming increasingly popular, for him or from entertainment/earning point, CT doesn't really make much of sense. Moreover, the other teams do get a fair idea of preparations and new findings of other teams. Ofcourse the time-gap between 2 CTs is not too small, its every 2 years and thats good enough.
A good idea to have a world championship of Test cricket. However, this championship, like the ODI, should be every 4 or 5 years. A good idea is to have performance ratings and have categories accordingly. Like 3 teams in each group and they would play within themselves more and sometimes with other groups. And the best team of the group would get a wildcard entry in the championship. Let all teams play world cup of Test matches and decide who is the best of all.
For record ICC Champions trophy at that time Knock out tournament was first played in 1999. This man Hayden god recognition in 2001 in CTs second edition. At that time also Australia had won World-cup. This is the 5th time that ICC Champions Trophy is being held.
Now that he is not in the team and has done with all money making tournaments except IPL, he wants to scrap CT.
Than how come he dint spoke anything for 8 years and his love for cricket just woke up after his retirement.

he's speaking about reality. Not just because he got recognition he should support existance of CT. Cricketers should be like Haydens, not the Tendulkars and Marathis who just hang around coz of the vast lobby.
