Some guys like Tendulkar, Yuvraj, Raina, Rohit, Praveen kumar have had too many chances to proove about themselves..There were certain series like the West Indies,South Africa where Tendulkar had got series of ducks and bad scores but was still persisted stating that he his a class act..Indeed
Sachin is a class act but had the privilege of a long uninterrupted stress free run in test cricket coupled with 2down slot. His high scoring hundreds have mostly been on benign tracks around the world which offered less bounce and swing. Compared to that of Dravid, VVS who have scored hunderds in tougher conditions whith Dravid batting 1 down and VVS right down the order (5 down).
Shewag has had better success for handling shorter and swing deliveries. Only issue with Shewag he opens bats with his instincts, damages the bowlers psyche, and has better averages compared to Gilly and Hayden..
And there have been certain players like Vinod Kambli, Sourav Ganguly, Shewag, VVS Laxman who have been axed badly for few poor performances and always in doubt about their places in their sides.
Player M R Hs Avg Sachin 159 12773 248* 54.58 Yuvi 28 1387 169 35.56 Dhoni 37 1962 148 37.73
Irfan ko akal nahi hai...he thinks he can represent india solely on the strength of his performances....
Lets do a test lets get figures of performance of...Ishant, Munaf, Praveen in last 25 ODIs and compare them with Irfan's, mind you only the bowling stats and not his batting....and Irfan will realise why he has not been picked.
Basically Irfan stands as a potential threat to brands who have endorsed Dhoni and Yuvi....thats why he is not in the team...

Buddy It's not that way.., It's between Dhoni and Yuvi.., Rp sing is Dhoni's Close Friend and he is promoting him.., Where as Pathan is Yuvi's Friend.., And dhoni doesn't want too many Yuvi friends in the team.., it's as simple as that

who are Uthappa and sreeshanth??for tht matter every individual ever played for india deserves a chance as every one of them have performed sometime..doda ganesh, balaji, sadgopan ramesh, debashish mohanty, hemang badani, piyush chawla, hrishikesh kanetkar, vinod kambli, abey kuruvilla, deepdas gupta, msk prasad, smeer dighe, batra, paras mhambe etc....
munaf should have been picked ahead of parveen kumar as he performed far better than parveen and ishant in IPL with 16 wickets from 11 matches at an average of 15 runs whereas parveen's bowling average in IPL was 30 runs. ishant, nehra and parveen kumar will flop in tri-series and Champions trophy but RP will perform.

Munaf can't bowl 5 overs on the trot. He starts panting by the end of his second over. Don't shit us all. Irfan isn't half the bowler he once was. Blame it on Dravid and that wily ozzy b@stid. If Irfan wants to make a comeback to the Indian side, he has to work on his bowling.

Since when did IPL become a benchmark? Is Champions Trophy a 20-20 competetion?
