y shd he make way for others? if others hv talent then they wll definately make their way. BTW sachin is still more consistent than others n playing well. so he dnt hv to retire this time.

Ok for whom should he make way for, name 6-7 batsman in India who are better than him and are in better form than him, we say how vulnerable these guys are when subjected to either very bouncy pitches or pitches where technique is required
Re: Re: Retire Sachin!
by Anuraug Rathor on Aug 08, 2009 05:56 PM
Technique is required everywhere even on dead pitches.Dont regurgitate statements off TV.You cannot find someone better than him or at least as good as him unless you give the player a chance.Sachin himself came in because someone went out...and the cycle has to repeat. If you want to be a winning team you have to make sacrifices. In any case, Sachin himself hasn't givern a very good account of himself on bouncy pitches recently...so why dont YOU back up your statements? He can make way for Rohit Sharma or Suresh Raina for example...each player doesn't need 6-7 replacements. If you dont givce the youngsters a chance you will never knwo how good they can become. At least that'show the Aussie's do it, and that's why they are champions while we are just players.

if some is capable then he wll automatically make his place in the team. y r u talkin abt rohit n raina? we saw hw rhit has performed. n raina also need some more time to set at highest level cricket. if they wl do well they wll make place. y some1 shd make place?
Re: Re: Re: Re: Retire Sachin!

Deewaker thanks for proving my point.Rohit and Raina need more time to set at highest level, and that will only come if the 'golden oldies' set aside their hunger for records and retire!.And Mr Dumbstruck below who says Rohit and Raina ahve played more matches than Sachin in the last couple of years...some one needs to tell him that Tests and ODIs are different formats fo the game.I guess he could't understand that from cricinfo. In any case it sin't about Rohit or Raina....it's about winning, and grooming young talent which will take the team forward and not be stuck in the past, and play a flash in the pan innings every 5th or 6 th game to help cling on to a spot in the antional team.I am the first to salute the yeoman service Sachin has done to Indian cricket literally holding the tema up on his shoulders for so many years, but he is now past his prime and needs to give it up.

Anuraug i also said tht y sachin shd make place? if any1 hv ability then he wll come n wll get some. y shd sachin secrifies if he is still doin better than others. if he could nt b able 2 perform then i wd hv been agree wid u bt since last 20 yrs he is top performer for india except 1-2 occasion. hw cn u forget n hw cn u tell him to get retire only bcoz of his age? u knw walsh retired at age of 39, waugh at 38, sanath is still playin at 40. kapil in last stage of his career only played to brk the recd n his perfrmance ws worst in those days. sachin is doin gr8 n he mst b there as long as he is doin well.

Huh, dude talk some sense which bouncy pitches are u talking about, who played in the recent tour of Australia, and these Rainas and Sharmas ve played far more matches than Sachin has in the last couple of years , just check their ODI matches list,if they were good enough they would ve got a place in test team also, and if u want to take back my words, check overseas ODI records of these players using cricinfo , u ll come to know more

Ok for your information, India from 2008 has won test matches in Perth, Galle, Mohali, Nagpur, Chennai, Hamilton and with the exception of Galle he was responsible for every win except a 71 and 84 in Perth and Mohali all others were centuries. Now who has contributed to the wins more than Sachin, talk facts man

It seems that he doesnot have the fact of sachin's record in test or one day cricket of last year or two. Atleast check the fact then one should comment.Record meant to be broken,if not punter or others.what is the big deal.
