How much we may hate this guy still he is the best batsman and a very very good captain. his records speak for himself, way ahead of Tendulkar. He has won many more matches than sachin. and above all sachin ran away from captaincy to concentrate on making runs and records, don't forget that. Overall sachin is very good but ponting is much better

Well we needed Sachin more as Batsmen then as Captain at that moment.. Also hope you are aware a lot of runs made my Ponting are due to the Graphite coated bat that he used.. I am still not sure if it is legitimate in Cricket to use those kind of bats..

Y'all remember da time dat our Ishant was bowling to him in hoorstralia, for about 5 overs Ishant was beating him almost on every ball, swinging it away ... this pointless dufus would step out to play and miss. Kumble almost took the ball away for a change up but Sehwag asked kumble to stick with Ishant and sure enuff Ricky got his off stump castled. That series and the next one in India was funny, cracked me up to see see Ricky supposedly then the "future best" all at sea facing Ishant. This guy is good no doubt but no as good as our Sachie.

I agree he lied and cheated and whined when India played in Australia. He is complete a** ho;e and needs to booed, disrespected at every opportunity, slapped if possible and definitely be given a kick in the bu...ttum.
Oh yes what whiners, they have even started begging to show respect. What cry babies. In interview he says , "oh this is the first time I am being applauded by england" What a jerk hes turned out to be. Yes Ponting come with a begging bowl and get your respect.
Ponting is the true British Hero and England should respect him and not boo. Its he who under brilliant captaincy handed over England the Ashes and hell bent over handing it back again this time. Hes a hero guys. Probably the aussies should think about booing him.
Hi Freinds all over. The Test series between England and Auatralia is really setting up to go down the wire. Well for me the star of the series has been Ricky Pointing what a player he is. He is a true captain who leads by example and he is now the third highest run getter in Test Cricket. The Englad fan more they boo him I am sure it pushes Ricky to raise his bar higher. So lets get ready for 2 more cracking Test matches and may the best team win.
I am one of the greates lover and fan of Cricket. I started watching cricket from 1992. I saw top of many great cricket and I also their bottom. But Ricky Ponting is my favourite captain ever. I saw many great captain like Fleming, Ranatunuga, Wesels from South Africa when it came back, Smith and Cronze, Jaywardhane, Gaunguly from India, Azhar to from India and now Dhoni, Inzmam and Akram from Pakistan. Steev Waugh and Teylor from Austrilya, Walse and lara from West India even Andi Flower from Zimvabye. Ponting is the best for me.

A Surgen can not do operation of himself. Means he can do operation of his patient, but he can do same for himself. So Dear This is not good to blaim these great players
