there is a very good chance that the matches could get affected by rain. since its the monsoon season champions league is likely to get doomed. anyways the circus is always welcome throughout india. cricket takes a backseat as business and entertainment apart from cricket takes front stage.
I am one of the greates lover and fan of Cricket. I started watching cricket from 1992. I saw top of many great cricket and I also their bottom. But Ricky Ponting is my favourite captain ever. I saw many great captain like Fleming, Ranatunuga, Wesels from South Africa when it came back, Smith and Cronze, Jaywardhane, Gaunguly from India, Azhar to from India and now Dhoni, Inzmam and Akram from Pakistan. Steev Waugh and Teylor from Austrilya, Walse and lara from West India even Andi Flower from Zimvabye. Ponting is the best for me.

Ponting is a good captain. He became "great" bcos of the wins he got. The Wins were bcos of the team he had. Hayden, Gilchrist, Warne. Look at him now. Anything goes wrong he starts biting nails. He had people like warne, mcgrath to cover for him when something went wrong. Categorizing him as great captain is wrong. Great Batsman I will agree.

Dont just go with whatever the herd does, think independently. Its Dhoni who has been doing greater than Ponting. He has beaten Ponting's team in their own backyard.

dhoni still has a lot to prove compared to ponting's two world cup odis. winning streak in tests and odis. a captain is only as good as his players.

Dhoni has done nothing to prove the fact he is a great captain , he also relies on a good team . When the players were out of form look how he struggled in T-20 WC
