I THINK SACHIN SHOULD BE ADDED IN THE TEAM AS OF NOW HE IS NOT IN 30 MEMBER TEAM BUT EVEN HE SHOULD BE ADDED NOE
Former South African cricket board chief Ali Bacher has urged the ICC to create a permanent window for the Indian Premier League in its calendar as the Twenty20 tournament has become the "number one event in world cricket".
"This is the number one sporting event at the moment in world cricket. I would like to suggest that the International Cricket Council give a permanent window for the Indian Premier League every year," Bacher, who was the CEO of the United Cricket Board which later became Cricket South Africa, said.
The former South Africa captain said IPL has redefined cricket marketing by successfully managing the huge logistical exercise of shifting the event here this year after a clash of dates with general elections prevented its organization in India.
"The second season has redefined marketing in cricket. I have never seen such coverage and support for any South African sporting event like this before. It is a new product in South Africa and has been overwhelmingly accepted," he was quoted as saying by the IPL's official website.

"I have never seen a sport that has been so extensively marketed. I would like to congratulate the Indian Premier League for doing so well even when they had such little time to organize the event here in South Africa. When Cricket South Africa hosted ICC World Cup in 2003, I took two-and-a-half years to organize the tournament, what the IPL has done is commendable," Bacher added. But for all its success in South Africa, Bacher said he wants to see the IPL return to India next year because of the electric atmosphere created by fans there.
"I would like to see the Indian Premier League being held in India next year because there are billions of cricket fans who follow cricket there like no other country does," he said.
"I was there for the semis and the final of the inaugural edition of IPL and I have seen it all - packed stadiums, electrifying atmosphere and the celebration of cricket in its new form," he added.

But see the fun...he still is having a gala time. This is what money can do. Even the media has also kept silent in this regard. Can we see the same happening if that gentleman was not Lalit Modi. Think (Only if you desire to)
Sehvag has gone crazy, just trying to hit six of everyball in the name of his natural game..he sud come back to normal game and be selective in his shot making then only they can suceed. All the media hype seems to have gone on his head.
Kolkata Knight Riders owner Shah Rukh Khan returned to India from South Africa Wednesday morning and the visibly upset Bollywood actor said that he won't go back to cheer his team unless they win games in the second season of the IPL.

Next year SRK will sell his stake to say, may be Mithun da. Then the team can dance to his tune. Or say Bappi da. Then they will be on a song. As long as looser SRK is the owner only expect hype and nothing else.

he wouldnt go back to cheer them? unless they win? comeon... I thot u needed cheering when u were down.
What a waste he has proved, Depends on foreigners not Ganguly. multiple captains theory. Huge supporting staff. Adamant coach who goes by the numbers on his laptop..
There is a saying.. The country where all are leaders.. is doomed for sure!
He could have well left things under Gangu and provided everything to comfort the team to become a unit.. but then SRK is quiet dumb.. he has proved yet again

Does SRK's this behaviour anywhere consider his role in "Chuk De"?

everyone knew this multiple captain theory was foolish as well pointed out by Gavaskar. Bukha Naan is a classic example of shining on somebody else's success. Everybody knew that he was NOT responsible for Australia's success, it was their glorious players like Waugh, Ponting, Warne and McGrath.Does anybody remember who was the coach of the champion West Indies in the early 80s? No. Instead of respecting knowledgable Indian Heroes like Gavaskar and Ganguly, he has been insulting them. So the team has now insulted him with their pathetic performance. What goes around comes around...

Bajrang ... pl. do not prompt new theory now...!!! GOD knows... they might just bring in a KKR ltd. and start stock and shares business ...
Yesterday delhi did everything not to win the match... yousuf pathan was spooning balls in the air like serving pastries .. but still the delhi players would go on slipping them...and what was sehwag thinking after seeing mendis' fate in the KKR match... pushing amit mishra against pathan and smith... !!! Delhi might have started its losing streak...coz you dont gift matches to opposition when you are on a roll..
The BCCI has announced an "amnesty" to all Indian players associated with the ICL and said that they can return to official cricket if they cut all ties with the unofficial private league within May 31. The players who chose to return to the official fold will be eligible to play international cricket after a 'cooling period' of a year, but can play domestic cricket from June 1, when the ICC's new rules on official and unofficial cricket come into force.
It's learnt that other national boards who have banned their ICL players from official cricket are expected to follow suit. The Indian board announced its decision after a meeting of its working committee in Mumbai.
"The BCCI has taken a decision to grant amnesty to players who have been associated the ICL," Shashank Manohar, the BCCI president, said. "They have been given time till May 31 during which they need to sever all ties with the ICL and come back to the BCCI and inform the board.
"We have taken a further decision on those players and the support staff of the ICL that they will not be able to play international cricket or given international assignments for a period of one year from the date they sever their allegiance with the ICL.
"A lot of cricketers and support staff with the ICL met us and informed us that it was a mistake committed by them in joining the ICL and they want to return to the BCCI," Manohar said. "They will be allowed to play domestic cricket immediately. "
Sehwag, its correct Yusuf took game away, but what about BAD BOWLING and Short balls by Ashish Nehra and Vettori. Also your OWN BATTING is FAILURE, who will think about it, Sehwag you need to stay for more overs, IPL 2 is not a free hitting in speically during initial overs, make some runs, play thinkfully and ensure delhi daredevils wins matches becasue of you, your dry run in IPL2 and if it carries on, we are worried how you will perform in ICC 20-20. Think before hiting ball, instead of cross batted shot play orthodox cricket and I am sure you will win matches for Delhi and India. All the best.
