KKR was destined to fail.
by VoteTooKNine on Apr 29, 2009 09:49 PM  | Hide replies

Is there another team whose owner is not actually related to the teams respective city/state/local culture in any way?

After 32yrs of Leftist rule there is not a single bongo billionaire left to buy their own local team.

What did you expect?

Buying KKR was just an investment for SRK. Last year it just broke even. So this year SRK decided to spend as little as he can on players. All he wanted was a team that would look presentable enough for the TV commercial shooting sessions. Additionally just being there on the roster for the 1st round will give the owner his money back for this year. And I can assure you this year the profit will be of higher margin for SRK.

SRK lost his virginity to a rickshawpuller in kolkotta, hence he has a connection with the city

SRK first did not spell his stand firm on having multiple captains but after reaching South Africa, he supported the idea of 4 captains. THEN WHY NOT 11 OR 22 CAPTINS? ONE CAPTAIN FOR EVERY MATCH? He had the cheek to comment on Gavaskar to buy a team and frame his own rules. THEN THIS IS WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF EVERY JOKER BUYS A CRICKET TEAM. NEXT TIME, PROBABLY SRK WILL ASK HIS PLAYERS TO PLAY CRICKET, BAT WITH TENNIS OR BADMINTON RACKETS, PUT ON BLACK BATA SHOES OR HAWAI BATHROOM SLIPPERS & FULL 3 PIECE WOOLEN SUIT. ITS HIS WILL & PLEASURE BECAUSE HE PAID FOR THE TEAM AND NO ONE SHOULD TEACH SRK ANY RULES OF THE GAME. KEEP IT UP SRK. ALL THE BEST FOR NEXT T20 WITH YOUR UNIFORM.

KKR made profits because Ponting, Gayle, McCullam didnt play whole tournament last year and that is how they saved money which showed up into profits. SRK himself has clarified this. Here is a cutting of that interivew
=========
Interviewer: If you were to choose between being the team that won the IPL and the team that made the most money, which would you choose?

SRK: I would give my life to win. We made the most money because our players didn't play last year so we didn't pay them. We did not make the money because of the profits. Players like McCullum, Ponting, Gayle went away so we didn't pay them all the money. All that money got saved. This time we will have most of the players 80 to 90 per cent of the time. Inshallah this time we will make money too because central sponsorship is much more.
=========

Go to midday's website and check the 16th April interview of SRK and u can read the entire interview. You bongs just keep shouting anything without even having knowledge of it in entirety.

Mukesh Ambani is a resident Mumbaikar, Hyderabad by Deccan Chronicles (again AP based), CSK bought by Srenivasan of India Cements (Chennai based). So there is some point in what VoteTookNine says.

SRK gives a damn to cricket and KKR...actually what he wants is money...creating controversy can also fetch money and thus he's created all these stuff.
had he been really serious towards cricket, such controversy shud'n have errupted

Bangalore hardly Won!!!
by Nitin Sawardekar on Apr 29, 2009 09:02 PM

Bangalore made hardly any attempts to win. What mattered was that the "Harbo, harbo, harbo re!" team prevailed! Aussies Zindabad!

Want the opponents to win? Get the stinking Aussies on your side!!!!

Actually it should read, Kolkatta continues it's loosing streak.
There wasn't much of a difference between the two teams. Kolkatta as usual, lost
