in 2010 it might be possible that IPL might go for expanding and will include 4 to 6 new teams. They might need more domestic player to include in that. Looking the dismal performance by many domestic and foreign crickter no option left with BCCI to include the cricketer of ICL where the performance of many of the domestic and foreign cricketer was good.
BCCI is trying to kill 2 birds with single stone. Erasing ICL existance and building more team to sell. The ban of 1 year has nothing to do with international cricket as Team is very strong at the moment and banch strength is good so meek chances to include the players in Indian Team. Atleast they will prepare them to get absorbed in additional teams which might come by 2010.
ICL has no other option to quit itself and might be possible that after some time Subash Chandra will buy one team from it and put the managing committee members as its team managers

The cream of the ICL will merge in IPL....poor ICL
Many months back, I have said that BCCI should give amnesty to ICL players; specially the young ones. I am glad this has happened. Now, ICL should be allowed a licence to host veterans' cricket.

A step in the right direction by BCCI, FINAALY !!!!!! More the tournament better the outcome for cricket , after all its way of livelihood for hundreds & THOUSANDS of players & coaches .... Not everyone makes it to national team , so, good to have different options ,,,,,,All the best .. to all the budding cricketers of tommarow !!

Mr. Mauj, BCCI has said that you have to stop playing ICL for being eligible for other selections. They have not lifted ban on ICL, they have lifted ban on ICL players if they stop playing ICL.
