all of them are international players..probably u were referring to Oversees players..
I also share the same feeling..if its Indian Premier League, then the captains should be an INDIAN only.

The real problem is SRK
by Mallikarjuna Rao on Apr 26, 2009 02:33 PM  | Hide replies

No doubt, SRK has invested money in KKR. Instead of acting like a mature businessman, he is acting like a joker. Remember last year controversy of SRK going to dough out area and dressing room. Definitely he is spoiling the team spirit and chemistry between players. Did he understand how players feel, constantly watching and giving free suggestions by their owner, definitely it is demoralizing them. Its better to keep respectable distance between players and management. By coming close proximity SRK and Preity Zinta are spoling their team's performance.

Not only a joker, a fool as well. Otherwise he would not have retained Buchanan as the coach. Look at this Buchanan - he chose a spinner in the super over (even Shane Warne himself did not bowl in the super over). Moreover, to settle personal scores with Sourav, he did not send Sourav in the super over though he played a superb innings moments ago!
And Shahrukh supports this fool of a coach!!

KKR will NEVER win
by Rock On on Apr 26, 2009 01:19 PM  | Hide replies

its nice 2 c KKR at bottom.. with poor lot of player and a crazy coach and uneducated (in cricketing context) owner, this team deserves to be kicked out of the competetion. Guys how can a team win with two / three players in the form of Gayle, Ganguly and probably Ishant..
Others I guess are playing for the oposition. Also I strongly believe that Buchanan is developing strategies for the opositions only and guess he has been bribed.

rock on,i think u r r8..i complety agree with u considering d fact tht KKR hasnt got that capability to win d trophy.ganguly is in gr8 form along with gayle.but u can never hv trust in these west indies players as they can throw their wickets away easily not thinking about the unwanted consequences.i m not going to crib abt buchanan as he has got d same 'auzy' blood running in him n d monkey actor thinks himself d king of cricket n then later d king of south africa as he fully missed out on the strategies needed 2 b taken to hold d oppositions bk.he can just dance with d meaningless track 'KORBO LORBO JEETBO RE' smoke cig all around n make funny faces to attract lenses!a gr8 dramabaaz indeed!i swear by d name of GOD!the botton line shld b KKR MUST NOT WIN!

Buchnan is damaging KKR team with demoralising players like Ganguly and his fans. May be it is Chappel is taking revenge to Ganguly through Buchnan...!!!

Any way, bad luck Sharukh.... this time also. Remove Buch.... .

In 20-20 no coach is required. No strategy will work out. Play well, and if luck is there, you will win.

I feel very Pity for Kolkata. What a team it is. Only 3 are the real batsmen. What is Brad hodge,Bangar,Chopra are doing? Its very sad to see Ganguly a lone warrior in the middle order. Where have the Brains of the team selectors gone ? Every team has atleast 5 batsmen who can hot through opposition and can maintain the run rate. Same is not the case with Kolkata.

Team analysis
by satya on Apr 26, 2009 10:25 AM  | Hide replies

chennai :
i thing paying 1.5 millon for Dhoni is too much
firstly their strategy is wrong
Dhoni is anchoring the innings with around 120 strike rate...obviously you expect more from a 1.5 million player..he should maintain around 180 strike rate which he is caplable while player like badrinath should do what dhoni is doing now (anchoring)

2.chennai have got plenty of bits and pieces players, they are neither good at bat nor bowl
except murali they dont have a high quality bowler (he too these days very predictable either bowls off spin or doosra with same length)

Time to Kick-out Mr Buchanan
by AjS on Apr 26, 2009 09:45 AM  | Hide replies

I must say that it is a big relief to KKR to get a single point, considering this team is clueless these days. They miserably failed to line up the batsman to counter against Warne's team. The so-called Mr Coach's strategy miserably failing, demoting Ganguly-Mendis for Super Over, etc. In my view the Coach should make sure the players are technically improved and jelling together to counter the attack. I dont see that is something happening also. He, unfortunately neither has a potential to improve the players technically nor the so-called strategy is working toward win.

If you notice KKR has only the 3 batsmen in Gayle, Ganguly, McCullum. Again McCullum and Gayle are the impact players, who may not click all the time. Then who else there to anchor the innings - what is Mr Buchanan thinking? where are the others?
Common Mr Khan, take the necessary steps to relook your coach's performance and bring somebody else (...who knows cricket as well the emotion of Indian cricket) to help you to make some profitable from the remaining matches...you cannot put the pressure like this to your team and expect them to be a super human to win the matches for you! In my view what Ganguly scored 46 odd runs in the last match is equivalent to a double century considering the way you and Mr Buchanan put him into acid test and humiliated him prove again. The immediate solution is to kick-out Mr Buchanan and let him know that he miserably failed to understand the way our Cric is plyd

This is one of the wise suggestion to kick out Buchanan as soon as possible for turning fortunes and make Ganguly captain again immediately.
Other this time this KKR will end up bottom in the points table.
Wake-up king Khan otherwise its too late.

Ya u r right, Ganguly captained KKR last year and won the trophy for Kolkata in their dreams !!! and this year too if he captained he will get the trophy in their dreams. A typical case of grapes turning sour.
