How pathetic souls are those who cannot stop speaking ill of someone even on his birthday. I have never seen anyone in my life-no matter how much he/she despises other person-speaking ill of that person on his/her birthday.
I can only blame the parents who conceived and gave birth to such pathetic souls in this world.

Ravi,
Who are you to decide?
If you think you are as good as or better than Sachin Tendulkar in your chosen profession--I am not talking in cricket as answer is obvious--You can give suggestion.
Anyway, tell me why you want him to give his place in ODI and for whom?
Learn to respect legends by not giving unwanted advice but by letting them decide what to do themselves.
If you really know SRT, you should have faith in his judgement.

Yaar dil mat le..I know it hurts Chumbaikar's if someone talks negative about them. So please try to show same feeling towards North/South Indians..got it!!!
I fully agree with Rajoo Iyer's remarks. He has written exactly what millions feel about Sachin. He is a great player and and good human being and deserves applauds in all levels. SACHIN, WISH YOU A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY
I wish Mr. Sachin Tendulkar a very happy and healthy birthday. I wish and am sure that all his dreams would come true.
There is no doubt Mr. Sachin Tendulkar along with Don Bradman is as the best batsmen ever to play the game of cricket. I admire him for his dedication to his profession and his very humble nature.
He has been and is the most successful and most loved cricketer because he as a cricketer and as a human being has been evolving all the time and adjusting according to demands of the situation, time, and the era.
I have been watching sachin right from his 15th year and its 2 decades over. Commitment and consistency are the two virtues that modern youth should adopt from this little master. As Sachin said - if someone plays cricket for 20 years these records do come - but what is important to stay at that position with humility and modesty without head-weight is important and that's another virtue our youngsters should copy from Sachin. More than his achievements on the field - I like his manners off the field, his encouraging young team-mates, charitable nature, learning from mistakes, down-to-earth always and self-belief - these qualities are to be cherished by the young Indians. While billions of peope adore him across the globe - few hundred Sachin haters do cry over his 'money making' 'income tax' 'poor indians' 'not a match winner' etc. These abuses come mainly out of contempt on an achiever that these guys could not dreamt of in their personal or official life and such Sachin haters can never motivate their own kith and kin to succeed in life. Let us not only greet Sachin for his birthday - let us wish him play for few more years and let us learn the qualities of Sachin that made him a complete and successful crickets and guide the young generations to aim for such glorious levels of achievement in any field.
'Tendulkar will be joined by his wife and kids in the birthday celebrations in Durban. This is the line that makes me worry for the Little Master. How will he celebrate his birthday, the way he does every night, if all this crowd is going to be around him. Few know that he is among the biggest womanisers and drunkards going around.

stup!d sridhar... jealousy makes u write sh!t here... go for a long walk and never come back
That is the only way to remain in the otherwise youthful team and earn money. Somebody commented very rightly somedays back that if Gilchrist would have continued clung to ther national team he would have scored 30,000 runs but he exit and made way for a young player. Establishing new records by moving at snail's speed is no acheivement, Mr Sachin. Good Luck for continuing in the Team India.

tell me which young player is as promising as sachin.. he had been and still is the spotlight of indian batting.. if YOUNG players need a chance, let them compete with him... he will play until he is successful.. no one can stop him.

Gautam Gambhir! SRT was an opener with Ganguly and later Sehwag. Now Gambhir is fitter and in consistent form - in all forms of ckt. Sachin can surely retire from ODIs. As far as Tests is concerned, we need a fitting replacement. But ODIs we have many youngsters and the unit is delivering with or without Sachin. So time is up.

Ravi,
Gambhir is good only against weak bowling and at flat pitches--now-a-days you can find flat pitches anywhere in worlds, so do not tell me he has done good in NZ and so on.
he can not play good fast bowling.
Do you remeber Vaguhan (ENG)? He was so good for could years that he was compared to Sachin. Where is Vaguhan now--can not even find a place in a weak England Team. If Gambhir is good he must show consistency for at least 4 years.
