Madam Jyoti,
No one in Congress Government have got the guts to take decisions like Dhoni do in Crisis...you see it on ground... let the Congress take some tip from him... He didnot ask for the award and so it need not require to be imposed on him
Good step.. extend the same thing to our MPs.. if they dont attend the sessions for more than 85% of time, their MP seat will be withdrawn without further notice... we elect them and then they don't represent us...can there be a bigger mockery?

Nice suggestion, why single out sportsmen only?! Extend to MPs and all public servants as well.
This prooves that how our Indian Cricketers are giving respect to our nation. This should be a lession to our Nation. Its an eve opener. Never ever try to give any award to undeserved persons. After all they are commercial cricketers. They play only for money not for nation. I don't know how our Indian Govt. decided to give Padmasree award to such silly cricketers. They play more in advertisements rather than ground. If you pay money they ready to come and play in your back yard.

Why IPL has been shifted to South Africa? Security concerns. SAME REASON. DURING ELECTION INDIA IS NOT SAFE TO RECEIVE AWARDS TOO. U GO AND GIVE IT IN SOUTH AFRICA.

If the govt. respects the padma awards honestly, they should not allow those people to represent India in any manner.

Govt is trying to protect (120 Crore - 40)people. number 40 looks very small boss, but in reality it can change your identity.
It will be a shame for them to accept such award from a rubber stamp Preseident Pratibha Patil. She is a useless president and it is a message to congress.

Hello Suku It is not the president who gives the award. It is a nation of 1.1 billion gives the award. Of course, President give away it in the name of all Indians. If you are not ignorant about democracy, you might be knowing this. Don't forget that Dhoni and all represent India and not his personal property. So they should show respect to the nation whether it is ruled by X or Y.
THIS BABU SRINIVAS BETTER MIND HIS BUSSINESS.HE HAS NO RIGHT TO AMEND THE SPECIFICATIONS ON HIS FANCY.LET THE MINISTERS DECIDE IN THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES.MOREOVER A JOINT SECRETARY IS NOT ABOVE GREAT PLAYERS LIKE DHONI,TO DECIDE HOW HE SHOULD TAKE HIS DECISIONS.WHAT SPORTS MINISTRY IS DOING FOR RETIRED SPORTSPERSON.
