On flat Indian pitch any idiot can score but on good pitches only batsman with class eg dravid, sachin,Laxman, pieterson,hyden etc will able to survive.

Its beyond any doubt that Ganguly has been a wonderful batsman and one of the best captain India has ever produced. However he has been always subject to illogical criticism by thankless people like Mr Modak above. Its not Ganguly is selfish or dominative, in fact he is the one who started what is known as team play and he groomed so many young players who are stars now. But the board, the selectors, and some of his coaches have played politics with him. Tell me why he was dropped from the side after the Sri Lankan tour last year when every one did badly. He had a good series against Australia in Australia just before few months!!!. He always silenced his critics through his performance. As regards the IPL, it’s strange that Modak has criticized Mallya whereas he has spared Shahrukh just because he is a film star. Plz note that all these franchise owners are here only for making money and not for the love of Cricket. Sharukh has clearly ditched Ganguly as well as the media by his last minute captain changing decision. As regards to the fans of Kolkata I agree they tend to overreact on all issues but I am sure they are all his true fans. He has fans outside Kolkata also and they all love him as much. People like Modak must have been asking for Dravid’s head even few days ago, now he has played one good innings and just see the change. I think we should all salute Tendulkar, Dravid as well as Ganguly for being true servants of the game. They are really great players

Ganguly is a definitely a team man. He has never been selfish. In fact selfish era ended in Indian Cricket ended in the eithties.

Dear Mr Modak I am very much playing in my crease. I think I had very politely replied to your mail. Yesterday you had singled out Ganguly for undue criticism whereas you had heaped praises on Dravid and Tendulkar. That was the main content of your mail. (Kindly go through your own mail once again). However today you have clubbed all the three players in the same league. Thats quite a change within just 1 day! Anyways I respect your seniority and let’s end the issue here only. Lets whish all these players best of luck. As regards to your views on Dhoni and Harbhajan, I completely agree with you. Proper action should be taken against them if it’s found that they did not go to receive the awards willingly and intentionally.

Q1) Why was Murali dropped? (The spinners in all other 3 innings have done so well and any day Murali is better than Tharanga) Q2) Why was Ashwin not given a single over? (R Ashwin is the second highest wicket taker in the domestic circuit last year. He is also in T30 probables while Joginder is not even there) Q3) What was Flintoff's role at No.4? To build a partnership or to hit/ smack the ball? If the role was the former, then Badri or Dhoni would have been a better choice. Q4) Why did Dhoni not cross over when Badri holed out to deep long on? Q5) Why was Thushara not sent ahead of Joginder in battibng. Thushara has very big hitting capabilities. I am deeply disappointed with Dhoni. If he continues like this, he will be accused of bias and not inefficiency.

These are not mistakes but his weakness of Dhoni who has been hyped as an excellent Captain with cool and courage.
He is ordinary, chicken (Darpok), and cannot win matches of his own. These things were not noticed by few of his admirer when he was captaining India, as there were match-winner in SRT, Rahul, Sehwag, Ganbhir, Zaheer, and Ishant.

Ajit will be now used as an allrounder which i think is very good for him...he will come at No.7...Mashrafe and Ishant will be the main strike bowlers....this is last and ultimate chance for Aggy to come back to Indian ODI team..if he does well he will definitely be selected for WI tour after 20 20 world cup...WI is the same place he did so well in 2006....i wish well for him but he has to perform now...now or never for him...but it will be good to watch him in action after one full year
